November 7th: Priya*, GATE director Chennai city full of water please pray. I am helping the gypsies family to save the people and stuffs inside the home Pr. Peter*, Kashmir Is money a root of all evil? Jeremiah 47,48; Psalms 119:1-88; 1 Timothy 6: 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. “Money makes many things” is a popular saying. Some people wrongly think that they can buy anything with money. Some Christians misunderstand money itself as an evil thing. Here, Paul writes against false teachers who are “people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and think that godliness is a means to financial gain” (v.3-5). False teachers have false motives; they will twist the truth and do anything for their gain. It is so with those who go after money, with the love of money. A philosopher says, “Money is a great servant but a bad master.” When money starts to control our lives, when the love of money drives us, it becomes a root of all kinds of evil. John MacArthur explains, “It is hard to imagine a sin that has not been committed for love of money. Such love causes people to indulge themselves, show off, distort justice, take advantage of the poor, lie, cheat, steal, and murder.” In his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus taught us, “No one can serve two masters… You cannot serve both God and money” (Mt.6:24). The love of money leads people to material greed. It never allows them to be happy with what they have. Paul says, “Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” In verse 9, Paul gives us a picture of the gradual decline and destruction of a person who goes after wealth. The bible says a greedy person will not inherit the kingdom of God ( 1 Cor.6:10, Eph.5:5). We Christians should flee from ungodliness and pursue what is appropriate for us (v.11). The Bible warns us to flee from idolatry, sexual immorality, love of money, and youthful lusts (1 Cor.6. 18; 10:14; 1 Tim.6:10; 2 Tim.2:22). For us, “godliness with contentment is great gain” (v.6). The Bible teaches against the love of money, not against money. A Christian cannot serve God and money simultaneously. When I go after money, I stop following Christ and living by his word. As a Christian, I must flee from the love of money. I should pursue “righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness,” for they have eternal value. God gives me all that I need, not just money (Ps.23:1). I should remember the God who gives me the ability to produce wealth (Deut.8:18). I should use it wisely to store treasures in heaven (1 Tim.6:17-19). PRAYER: Father God, thank you for giving my daily bread and providing for all my needs according to the richness of your glory. Lord, give me your wisdom to be wise in money matters. Amen. Pr. Peter* November 3rd: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director Breaking news: Today, fighting that happened just about 15 miles from us. Two women was shot dead by the military. From three villages, all the people fled to the jungle for the safety of their lives. The military burned three houses including one gas station and they stole many of the village’s properties. We heard the explosions from where we live. We feel scared all the time. But Our God keeps us safe till today. Pastor Jairaj, India director My Andaman trip is postponed for some reasons in Andaman. Please pray for us Thank you. I think it is Covid related. Message from one of the Andaman co ordinators: My family members are in fever since last 15 days Please pray. November 2nd: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director We all are doing good at home. The situation here in everywhere is worse than worse. The other pastors whom we support have an urgent prayer request for food for each of their communities as they are facing food crisis very badly. I want to share with you about the persecution news. Pastor Denpo* is one of our partners in our network who serves in [a district] in Shan state. The history goes like this; A window named Haymar*– and her son were forced them the leave their house by her husband’s bothers/relatives after she became a Christian. Haymar* losses her husband two years ago and she lived with her only son named Phyu*. Since there is no house in the village where they can live, they live in a paddy field. But this pastor and the church leaders have a regular contact with this widow and her son. The pastor said that she never gave up her faith though she faced such of persecution her life. Now the pastor and his church leaders prayed and planned to build as small house for this widow and her son. So that they can come back to the village after the harvest. Now it is the time to harvest and they are trying to build house for them at the church owned land. Now they have collected some materials whatever they can. Building this house will cost them about 4,600,000 MMK ($2,544.56) and what they have now is about 850,000 MMK ($470.19). So please pray for them that the Lord will provide this need for this widow and her son. Will there be any way of help available for this need? Please have them in your prayers. In Christ, Bro. Pan* Pastor Thomas*, Rajasthan director We are good here with your prayers support. Ministry work is growing up day by day with yours prayers. We need more prayers to overcome our problems. As per you know we are living in rented home last 22 years and now house owner want to sold this house and we have no other place to stay and doing ministry. We are praying and planting to buy land for mission canter and build their own house for residential and church and training canter also so please humbly requested you pray for our needs to buy land very soon and start new house . Actually this area is Efected by any Christian forces and through our ministry many new people come to christ Every months and they are looking me to how will give problem, so have only one point for rented home. But I believe God is with us and he will care us. October 31st: Pastor Ram*, Andaman Islands OBITUARY: One of our Missionary Pastor James*’s father entered in to God’s glory today (31st October) evening. Kindly pray for the bereaved family members. October 30th: Pastor Suraj*, Bihar Warm Greetings to you in Jesus’ glorious name! Thanks a lot for your prayers and concerns for this discipleship & baptismal programs [we have been planning]. This will certainly help to plant new churches in unreached areas and among unreached people groups. We initially planned it for the third week of November but it depends upon the fund’s arrival. We are in continuous touch with the new believers there. Praying for you all and for your funds raising efforts. Blessings! Suraj* October 29th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director What a tragic happening in Chin state and Sagaing region. More and more troops have arrived in [my city] and many check points even in inside the city. These two regions haven targeted by the military. So, your prayers are needed for us than ever before. At [another region in] Chin state more than 100 houses were burned including 2 church building. More than 200 houses were burned now and the fire still continues in [this region], according to the news this morning. The PDF is about to control Chin state and Sagaing division that is why the military targets these two regions more than any other places. October 28th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director I immediately wired the funds to Lydia* and Bro. Aung* as I received today. Since they are now living in different villages, they plan to distribute the money to the families but not in the food items since it seems it is not so convenient for Lydia and Bro. Aung. Their plan is to give Ks. 100,000 ($56) to each family and this will help about 64 families. Lydia said that on behalf of my community, I would like to say thank you so much for the help funds which is so helpful for this time. This will be a great help for this community in this time of their hardships and difficulties. Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh In [region we are doing a house repair] it is under construction. In lots of the photos sent to HB they are building the pillars of the house. In 2 weeks the house should be complete and receipts of all work should be sent (after completion of the work). In [a region where to of our pastors are who were wrongly imprisoned] I have to go to handover the amount practically. I want to visit with other missionaries and go physically with them; it’s good to have witnesses so no funds can be misused for intended purpose; I will be going in the next weeks. October 27th: Priya*, India I went to Saran’s* home town to see his father. Please pray his health. He is 75. He has fever. Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh Today I would like to share a very good news regarding of Holy Baptism program which was taken place at [a village] where 49 no. of new people came to Jesus surrendering themselves as a sinner and accepted Him as their personal Savior through the watering Baptism; also, they received Him by the blessing of Holy Spirit Baptism before this program. [Our organization] is grateful to the Lord as He has been leading and blessing us through your loving care. We had a big program today but a number of men went to Govt. relief program as the silent famine has been continuing but these people will come to Lord on coming 15th of November 2021. So, pray for the rest of the men and women who have a heart for the Lord where Jesus is present and want to accept Him as their personal Savior through the watering Baptism and hope so in the Lord. October 26th: Pastor Aung*, Myanmar I am Aung from Mandalay area. I am grateful to you for your prayers as Pastor Pan* always shared to me. I lost my wife and faced many hardships in my life as well as we live with fears. Our future is uncertain because of the coup. But the Lord always strengthens my faith and we still have hope in Him. This time, I want to share with you the need of the daily food in my village where I serve. Because of the violence which are going on our country, many of the people in my community including my church members have faced lots of hardships and problem. Many of them are out food since they have no work to earn money for their families. So, it is my humble request to pray for my community that the Lord will provide the needed food before it is too late. I want to help them but I am not able to help by myself. I hope for your kind concern and prayer toward this dire need. Thank you for joining us in prayer. In Him, Aung Pastor Pan*: Bro. Aung said that there are many families who need help but among them he has a list of 87 families who are under poverty line. Their situation seems very bad and difficult. According to Bro. Aung, the estimate cost is 97,500 MMMK per family. It is about 60 USD according to the present exchange rate and the total estimate is about $5,550. So, please pray that the Lord will soon provide this project for this community. Thank you all for your concern and prayers for these people. October 25th: Pastor Shalva*, Nepal director The Savings group [which is being expanded] has many benefits however it mainly has two purposes as well as strengths as i understand that is: 1. To help people for their spiritual growth while saving a little out of their income. This will bind them together with other believers in Bible study and fellowships. 2. To generate a usable fund which can be used for uplifting poorest of poor families who can never open a bank account and save a little out of their very poor income. If they have a something in their hand they immediately save in the savings group. If they need a fund for doing a simple business like a grocery shop, tea shop, snacks outlet, goat keeping, bee keeping, chicken farm, vegetable farm, and cow farm etc. They can borrow from savings group and they can make little more income and slowly they can come out from their poverty. But rich people may not need savings group because they can save any where but rich people’s savings will help poor people to establish some business and poor people’s active participation will help spiritual growth of both rich and poor. Eventually their is no much gap between rich and poor. It is very pure vision to build up Kingdom of God with strong tie between people and give glory to God. Thanking you so much for all your hard works. Pastor Shalva Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director We have distributed the aids through Pastor Tin Aye* in his mission fields at three different villages. He is one of the most effective partners we have who is faithfully serving the Lord in the villages. October 24th: Pastor Shalva*, Nepal director If we get $5000/ relief funds we plan to help children whose parents are unable to buy winter clothing for their children. In Nepal winter starts from last week of October to first week of March. I have seen those poorest of poor Children are always shivering in the cold season because they have no winter cloths. I can distribute winter cloths to 300 Children of Nawalparasi district and Palpa district. I can buy one pair of woolen sweater and trouser. It is costing about $20/ however when we are buying in bulk and whole seller we can get about between $18-$16 so with that money i can provide winter clothing to 300 Children. Thanking you so much for all your prayers support and help. Pastor Shalva Pastor Peter*, Kashmir Dear Prayer partners in Christ. I have reached on Saturday in Kashmir valley started work of the lord. Keep us in your prayers. Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director The international community has shown their rejection on the recognition of the SAC, now the Junta seems to act more difficult for the people of Myanmar. Everyday, what they do is to hurt the people, so that the people of Myanmar will be afraid to against them. October 23rd: Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh Greetings. In this moment we have a bad news though there is abidance of this source that our neighbours country Myanmar where there will be genocide again as the Runhingyas are nor in a peace. So, we need to have more prayers for the neighbouring Myanmar and we will do. Darpan Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director The Junta had increased more violence since the decision. Lydia* and her community made it to a different places and moved all their properties. But some of them have to come back to work there to earn money whenever works are available, she said. I know that their lives are harder because now they will have to rent a house and since they moved to the places, they don’t have jobs to earn for their daily food. Food is the most need for these people right now. October 22nd: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director Lydia* said just now that they have started moving and will have a complete move by tomorrow on the 23rd. Almost, all of them will stay in the village at the same place in the otherside of the river. As you said, I don’t want them to loss their sweet relationship of their community. October 21st: Pastor Shalva*, Nepal director Let me explain you the situation of Nepal and the usage of disaster fund. People’s life is so badly damaged by two years lockdown and natural disaster like flood, land slide, unwanted excessive rain, joblessness, market inflation, poor agricultural cultivation, government is unable to supply seeds and fertilizers, sickness through Covid-19 and other flues etc. There is so much needs every where but are targeting poorest of the poor families irrespective of religion however we are some how helping some of the Pastors and leaders’ family who are left behind by diseased Pastors and leaders through Covid-19. When i see their situation i feel like i will sacrifice my family’s lunch and support them. In Nepal we have lost almost 750+ Pastors and leaders due to covid and believers are not counted in this number. Apart from covid about 150 christian families and 13-15 Churches are replaced by flood and landslide. We are very much committed to extend some one time support for their living, clothing, schooling their Children and in some cases paying their hospital bills. The need is huge but we are with limited resources we can not help every one but as the spirit of The Lord guides us we using the resources available with us. We have helped about 50+ Churches and 30+ Pastors and leaders as well as 100+ families irrespective of religion, caste and color. During this covid period we were able to extend saving groups to 21 Churches. We use the fund we receive to help them to start the saving group where they need initial expenses, seed money, training their potential leaders for this purpose as well as some grant so that whole community will be benefitted. There are so many needs in so many areas. As Jesus preached in Synagogue that He is committed to Preach the Gospel to poorest of the poor so we are also committed to preach, help, lead the poorest of the poor. Pastor Shalva Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director What they (Lydia* and her community) are planning right now is some will move at different villages in the otherside of the river and rent a house. It seems they will be scattering in different places and some will live with their relatives in the village. It is not possible to live in in one village and each family will search for their own way. I will have to keep a regular contact with Lydia* and her community. I am afraid that move will cause them to loss their faith. Pastor Ram*, Andaman Praise the Lord dear! Here all our missionaries are fine. Pr. Jairaj* and his wife is planning to come to Andaman for ministry from 8th to 11th Nov. A programme has been arranged and which is given below: Pastor Ram*: Tentative Tour Programme of Rev. Jairaj* to Andaman from 8th Nov. to 11th Nov. 8th Nov. – Arrival at 11 am Evening – 4 pm – Meeting with [group] members at Delanipur 9th Nov. Morning: Local visit Evening: At 4pm – Discipleship Training 10th Nov. Morning: 10am – 1pm – Christian Ministers Seminar at [nearby Church]. Evening: Local visit 11th Nov. Morning: Departure to Chennai October 20th: Pas. Shalva*, Nepal director First day Maternity health camp and counselling went very well please pray for second day i.e. today’s camp should go well. Couple of days ago there was heavy rain and flood in some of the area but now the weather is very clear. October 19th: Pastor Suraj*, Bihar Thanks to all of you for providing us Bibles and which is resulting in people coming to the Lord and ready to take water baptism. The Bibles distributions have been completed. October 18th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director Yesterday, we heard that many prisoners have been released. But it is very sad to know that many of them were re-arrested by the military. It seems they wanted to show the world that they are releasing in order to end the pressure from around world. I also learned that some of them rearrested even before they arrived their home. Very sad news. Lydia* told me that they are fearful for the military’s order and preparing to leave the place and they will find where they can live. Let us pray for them and stand with them as their situation is very difficult. Pastor Peter*, Kashmir Dear Prayer partners in Christ, as the word of God Reminds us in Colossians 1: 9-11, For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience. As Christians, we give special attention to prayers as it helps us to communicate with God. The Bible teaches us a lot about prayer. We read more than 600 prayers in the Bible. In Col.1:9-14, we read one of the powerful prayers of the Bible. When we meet fellow Christians and hear news about them, we promise to pray for them. However, many of us often forget our words and fail to pray for them. After hearing Epaphras’s report about the Colossae church and their love, Paul prays for the church he never met before. Do we pray for the Christians whom we never met before when we hear news about them? Jesus taught us that we should “always pray and not give up” (Luke 18:1). As we continually pray, prayer becomes a part of our lives. When we pray, we usually pray for our life needs. But Jesus’ model prayer encourages us to pray that God’s will be done in our lives. Here, Paul prays for the spiritual intelligence or wisdom to know God’s will. We find the meaning of our lives when we know God’s will. We all need spiritual wisdom not only to discern God’s will but to use our God-given knowledge to do the right things that please God. The Bible says pure wisdom comes from heaven (Jam.3:17); Christ Jesus is our wisdom (1 Cor.1:30). “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you” (Jam.1:5). Paul prays for practicing the spiritual wisdom in obedience “to live a life worthy of the Lord,” which should be the chief aim in Christian life. “Bearing fruit” and “growing in the knowledge of God” are essential parts of our Christian life. When we remain in Jesus, we bear much fruit (Jn.15:5-8). Finally, Paul prays for the power of God. We all need God’s power to live for his glory, resist any sinful temptations, stand against the devil, be strong in faith when facing opposition, and be holy. Let us ask God to give us spiritual wisdom to understand God’s will, obey his word, and receive his power. PRAYER: “Father God, thank you for reminding us what is important in our spiritual life. Lord, give us your wisdom to seek the right things in Christ and have the right conduct in our life. Amen.” Pray for Kashmir “If my people will humbly pray and turn back to me and stop sinning, then I will answer from heaven” 2 Chron. 7-14 Pray that God will open the eyes of the Kashmiris to see him their creator and to know how great his love for them is. Pray for more workers who have love for the Kashmiri people to be called to the valley. Pray for the leaders of India and Pakistan that they might come to a peaceful resolution to this long standing dispute. Pray that Kashmiris on both sides of the line of control. (The dividing line between Pakistan occupied and India occupied Kashmir) would come to know the prince of peace. Pray for Kashmiri youth, who are in depression and involved in smoking and drinking due to unemployment. Pray that Kashmiri youth, disillusioned with the fighting but longing for a cause to believe in would be introduced to the light and hope of Christ. Pray that the many Kashmiri young men and women involved in the freedom struggle would be pursued by the spirit of God and would find salvation in Christ. Pray that Kashmiri believers/seekers would throw off the curse and would look to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spread everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. 2 cor. 3-14. Pray for wisdom to be imparted to the chief minister and his party workers which will give the Kashmiri people hope, a sense for purpose, and a fresh start for the next generation. Pray that political and religious leaders will allow the gospel to go forth, and militant leaders won’t retaliate with violence, but will understand the true freedom. Pray that God would continue to call workers and mission leaders to the valley who will love Kashmiris through valuing and taking joy in the Kashmiri way of life. Pray that strategies would be given to workers and believers on how to cooperate and bless the church with positive values. Pray that God will make open home, listening ears and a generous life be the mark of Christian leaders and Kashmiri followers of Christ. Pray that the Christians believers will walk in boldness and will pursue fellowship with other Christian’s believers so that new cell churches may be started in every villages of Kashmir valley. Pray that Kashmiris will have dreams and visions of Jesus as they search for union with God. Pray that evangelistic materials such as literature and Bibles will be distributed to the Kashmiri people. Pray that Christian leaders/workers would effectively use the skills to share the truth of Christ with others through friendship or social works. Pray that seekers would find hope. Protection and empowerment in their relationship with Jesus. Pray that God would reveal the power of his holy spirit to the Kashmiri Muslims. And bind the effects of these demonic practices. Pray that Kashmiris would come to know that Christ as their true and only mediator to God the father. Pray for the security of those working in Kashmir as many have received multiple threats on their lives. Pray that creative new means of communicating Gods word to the illiterate peoples of the valley would be developed. Pray that the Kashmiri church would become known in the valley as people of joy and of spiritual power as their trust in Christ. Pray that faithful believing families may become the foundation of the Kashmiri church. Pray that believers would experience Gods provision in the midst of economic difficulties. Pray that the Kashmiri church would find creative and faith-filled ways to support one another in difficult times. Pray that the churches around the Globe will pray with burden for Kashmir. Pray that Kashmiri believers who have accepted Christ will have courage to share their faith within the community. Pray the different denominations and Christian organizations serving in the valley would commit to loving and serving one another in humanity. Pray that Christian leaders/pastors/ evangelists would recognize and combat the plans of the enemy, who plots destruction by blaming other, misunderstandings, distrust, and gossip within the Christian community. Pray that seekers from both urban and rural, upper and lower classes will come to know the true and mighty God. Pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit to spark a hunger for spiritual truth with in Kashmir valley. Pray that spirit filled servants of God can share the gospel and teach the Kashmiri people how to love one another union with Christ. Pray that the Kashmiri people will recognize and honor Gods ownership of everything and will respond to all of god’s creation in such a way as to honor him. And pray, that in doing so, many will come to faith in his son Jesus Christ. Pray that God will comfort the hearts of this young generation of Kashmiris and make them generation of healers’ 2nd Cor. 1-4. Pray for the transforming power of the gospel to effect the change in Kashmiri communities through education. Pray for Gods spirit of unity and peace to transform the mind sects of believers calling them one body. Eph. 4:3-4. Pray that God will call Kashmiri who have gifts in singing/ music worshipping in Kashmiri language. Pray that [our group] will work to establish living House churches/street church in every corner of ten Districts/tehsils/pincocdes in Kashmir valley. If we don’t move before the deadline, we will be arrested. Many polices and many armies came and forced us to sign, saying that we will move before October 23rd otherwise, all the houses will be destroyed or burnt.” I had a talked with several of our people and they had no any idea for their future right now. October 13th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director Update on Current War Development in Chin StateClashes between the military junta forces and a combined forces of Chinland Defense Forces and Chin National Army (CNA) are happening now.
So far, CNA and CDF have killed five of the junta soldiers at the clash near Hniarlawn village, an outskirt of Hakha city, according to the spokesperson of Chin National Army (CNA).
Residents in Lungpi ward, and Hniarlawn have left their villages running into the jungle for hiding.
The military junta forces are burning Christian Church and four residential properties, looting the properties and taking rice at Rialto village. Also, the soldiers reportedly kill the animal such as pigs, goats, and hens in Rialti village, Falam Township.
At Hniarlawn, four civilians are arrested, including a minor aged 13. People are trying to live normal life but it is not possible since the violence grows higher everyday. October 12th: Pastor Suraj*, Bihar Warm Greetings to you in Jesus’ glorious name! Since we have shared the Love of Christ through our Relief works in some places of Bihar during COVID-19 and Flood and therefore now some of the people are ready to follow Jesus Christ and requested water baptism. As for now, I have got 25 names from Hindu and Muslim backgrounds as well. For their deep relationship with Christ and for their better understanding of the Scriptures and Christian life, we are planning to conduct a three full-day Discipleship program on our campus before their Baptismal service. Altogether more than 50 people will be participants. They will come from their respective places to [the city] and attend this program. For this program, we seek support towards their three days Meal, Accommodation, Travel Fares, Speaker arrangements, etc. We will be doing this program in November 2021 and in [our city] due to their safety also as these days the persecutions are increasing. Altogether, we are expecting about $2000/- (Two thousand US dollars) of expenses. I, therefore, request you to pray about it and if possible, please support this great cause. This will help us to start churches in some new areas. Actually, in these last days, the ministry of evangelism and church planting must be supported properly to fulfill the mandate of our Lord. Thanks a lot! Suraj* October 11th: Pastor Peter*, Kashmir Philippians 4:4: Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! When everything goes well, we are happy. However, we become sad when we have failures, relationship issues, rejection, and face undesirable things. Mostly, our happiness is related to the external factors of our lives. “Joy” is a significant theme in Paul’s epistle to Phillippians; Paul used the Greek word for Joy and rejoicing 15 times in this small book. Paul writes about joy throughout the book of Philippians. So, no wonder that this epistle is called a letter of joy. It does not mean that Paul was in a comfortable place where he received everything he wanted. Just in the preceding verses, Paul mentions the disagreement between the two saints. When we read the book of Philippians, we can understand that Paul rejoiced and experienced joy regardless of his circumstances. As we all know, he wrote to Philippians from prison; he had enemies everywhere; he endured trials and afflictions. But none of them could stop him from rejoicing. We may ask ourselves how shall we rejoice in all situations. We know that if our joy depends on our situations, we cannot always rejoice. Paul writes, “Rejoice in the Lord.” Regardless of our life situations, the Bible calls us to rejoice in the Lord, “for the joy of the Lord is your strength” (Neh.8:10). Nothing can separate us from the joy that Jesus gives us. There is joy and eternal pleasures in the presence of the Lord (Ps.16:11). Habakkuk (3:17-18) sings, “Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.” We can rejoice in the Lord at all times. Jesus taught us, and the Apostles experienced the joy unspeakable in their sufferings and trials. Christ is the source of our joy. In Gal.5:22-23, we read that joy is listed among the fruit of the Spirit; there is no law against it. The joy of the Lord never changes depending on any external factors. It comes from within. Whatever our life situations may be, we can rejoice in the Lord always. As Paul says, “I will say it again: Rejoice!” The work has not finished in the month of November we are starting new living house churches/ street churches. Kindly keep all of jamaat in your prayers. Pr. Peter* Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director More and more troops are scattering in Chin state. The families of the military have been taken out of the army based in [our city] by the military air force to their headquaters. It seems the big fighting is prepared by the military. So, your continued prayers would be greatly appreciated. They are targeting both civilians and the rebels when fighting take place. Inspector General of Police said that total of 28 civilians have been killed by militants this year in 2021. Out of 28, five persons belong to local hindu/sikh community and 2 non local hindu labourers. IGP further said that due to killing of huge numbers of militants of all outfits specially their leaderships, destruction of their support structures and continuous and effective maintenance of law & order, militant handlers across have got frustrated, due to which they have changed their strategy and started targeting unarmed policemen, innocent civilians, politicians. Now innocent civilians from minority communities including women are being targeted. In all such cases militants have been using pistols. These acts are committed by newly recruited militants or those who are about to join militant ranks, he said. In some cases, OGWs have been found directly involved. JKP is working hard and we are identifying all such part-time /hybrid militants and strictest action shall be taken against them. We have received several leads and are working on it. We have also been launching operations along with other security forces. We appeal to general public specially minority communities not to panic. We have been maintaining peace and secured environment and will continue to do so, Inspector General added.” From Pr. Eshin*: Our team has been serving lord in Kashmir from many years. In the year 1989-90 many people belonging to the minorities including christians left Kashmir because the atmosphere in Kashmir had gone from bad to worse but after that there was some progress in good atmosphere again. So we were doing work of God in every nook and corner of Kashmir. But now again there has been a change in the atmosphere in Kashmir and from last ten days militants are active been doing selective killings of minorities in Kashmir. Again there is great terror in Kashmir , so for the time being we have stopped going in far flung areas for preaching. Kindly uphold our people in Kashmir. Pray for returning of good atmosphere again in Kashmir so that we may be able to do God’s work more frequently and successfully. We all are praying for you all. After prayers and discussions Sister Sarah* and Dr. Atraiu* have taken a decision to send me to Jammu for the time being as I’m the only pastor working among locals. We Christians and other minorities have been advised by government to hideout for sometime until the culprits will be captured. Sister Sarah* has closed her parlor and staying inside home with Kids. Our Jamaat are advised to stay at home and pray for the peace return in Kashmir. Kindly keep us in your prayers. Yours in His Ministry, Eshin* Kashmir The decision to go to Jammu is because I could be a target because of the ministry done in the valley. For one week only to stay away that is another city Jammu We Christians may be the next target. This is for precaution. That is I am a know to everyone that I am pastor Peter* and nominated in the valley. Want to stay one week aside as so many agencies are working in the valley of Kashmir. I want to take a leave for one week and make my vehicle fixed in Jammu city. Hence praying situation will become better very soon without the killings of innocent people in the valley. October 6th: Pastor Shalva*, Nepal Director Thank you so much for all your prayers, support and help. Meeting ended with prayer and benediction. October 4th: Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh director Greetings and thanks for your every time taking care of Bangladesh. As I returned to visited Partner Gautam* House and sharing which I understood as below: Gautam living with muddy house to his relative land and that relative told him to remove to his own land and Gautam has agreed to shift to his own land or place. So, this muddy hose – the upper side where the Muslim extremist broke the roof tins through hostility because Aadi has been preaching the Gospel people and that portion were covered by a black plastic. So, if the muddy house could not be repaired and if the carpenter touch everything will be broken. For this reason Gautam including his wife and son wanted to go to their own land which is so close. Gautam and his family’s expectation is to build a new RCC pillar with tin shed with tin fence and it is possible within the funds we have. Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director It has been difficult using internet in many parts of the country. Broadband internet especially with Myttel seems impossible. At present we are starting again our online class, most of our students use internet data, they just bought with package which seem not expensive or reasonable. Apart from that I have no ideas. By God’s grace we are doing good. We start our online class today again till November 2021. Regarding the internet, I believe they will not cut off [in my city] because business and marketing has to do with mobile banking. People who keep their money in the bank could not withdraw, the only they can use their money is mobile banking, and using their card in the shop to buy what they needs. This is the reason that they will not cut off the internet. If they do, there will be a great change. So, as I say many people use and buy internet data packages which cost less. With many thanks. Your sincerely Thang” October 3rd: Pastor Suraj*, Bihar India More Bible Distributions mostly among Muslim Seekers & Believers. Actually because of our relief works and reaching the people with the love of Christ, now many from Muslims and Hindus are ready to follow Christ and ready to take Water Baptism. So there is need of arranging Discipleship programs for 3-4 days and then give baptism. Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director I praise the Lord that Bro. Cin* was also discharged yesterday. They requested us to pray for their medical expenses too. October 2nd: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director Due to the crisis and hardships that we faced here, our partners asked for food to provide to the people in each of their ministries. That makes sense to me as we all know about the situation. Please join us in payer for their needs that the Lord will provide. Also, please pray for me and my wife that the Lord will provide our medical bills to clear soon as the due date to repay is approaching. The money was borrowed from some of my friends. Chime* who came back home from hospital yesterday continues doing well by the grace of God. Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director Thank you for your special concern and prayers. By God’s grace we are doing good. But today unexpectedly one of our church member has been with the Lord. This includes Muslims, Hindus and Christians! Thanks a lot for the Support and Prayers! September 29th: Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director Thank you very much for your prayers. By God’s grace we are doing good, but everything is so expensive due to economic crisis, one usd = 2000 mmk. Petrol one litre 1250 ($0.67) mmk before the junta one litre 560 mmk ($0.30). Which is more than double. Pastor Peter*, Kashmir Dear prayer partners in Christ Greetings from Kashmir valley. 2 Corinthians 5: 14: For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. We all would agree that love has no boundary. If a person expresses mad love for somebody, people would call him/her crazy. Paul’s enemies must have presented such an accusation against him. (v.13). Paul’s response shows that his actions were selfless. In verse 14, he says the reason for his selfless ministry is “Christ’s love.” Here, although the text may refer to both “our love for Christ” and “the love Christ has for us,” in light of the context, we can understand that it indicates the love of Christ. Paul mentions Christ’s love as the great act of love (see Jn. 3:16; 15:13). Apostle John writes, “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us” (1 Jn.3:16, 4:10). Paul says, “For Christ’s love compels us.” We may ask, would love ever compel anyone? Paul connects Christ’s love with the cross, in which he died for all. A realization of Jesus’ sacrificial, selfless, and unconditional love made Paul say this. Christ’s love gave a conviction to Paul, which compelled, guided him to do what is required of his ministry call. Paul is not saying about doing something motivated by emotions. Agape love refers to an act that a person does with his will. Paul urges every Christian who identifies them with Christ’s death and resurrection ought to live for Christ. Apostle John also echoes similar words that we must live like Christ (1 Jn.2:6; 3:16). “We love because he first loved us” (1 Jn.4:19). The love of Christ compels us to do what God expects from us. And we know that no one or nothing can separate us from this love (Rom.8:39). C.T. Studd once said, “If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him.” When I see the cross and realize the price Christ paid for me, I understand God’s love revealed in Christ. Christ’s love never prompts me to do anything for selfish gains. Instead, it motivates me to do the work of God to help people to find the salvation of God. I will not restrain God’s love. I will live for Christ delightfully with love. Yours in Christ Pr. Peter* Kashmir Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director Cin*’s wife was discharged yesterday but Bro. Cin* & Bro. Myint* are still in the hospital. Bro. Cin and Bro. Myint are also improving. September 28th: Lydia*, Myanmar I am Lydia and I want to say thank you so much for providing food time to time. I really appreciated the donors and their love toward us. Almost all of our church members were sick but we all were recovered by the grace of God. No one is able to go for work and all are suffering. Since the beginning of August, we faced lots of problem because of the flood. Most the people here looking job but the flood made us harder to get the job. Also because of the civil war, our lives are in danger and the situation here is worse than worse. So, because of all those things, the need is more than what I say. Sometimes, some of our church members have food to cook and we shared whatever we have and till today, the Lord has allowed us to live. I praise the Lord for His providing hands. When we heard about the food supply from Pastor Pan*, we all were so happy because most of our people are out of food. Pastor Aung* brought the food items to us and we immediately distributed to our people to 70 families. Everybody said, Praise the Lord … Amen … because of the food supply. I never saw such thankfulness among my people though they received help in the past. It shows me that the need for food is real. You made this possible. Thank you for your concern and help in times of need. Praise the Lord for the faithful donors and their sacrificial giving. We pray for the donors and their families that the Lord will bless them in the days to come. As we distributed food to our people, we also shared the Gospel. I also can boldly share the good news and at least 4 people boldly said, Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior. The believers also rededicated their lives to Jesus because everybody said that the Lord has answered our prayer. One man said that, because of the difficulties that he faced, he challenged the Lord, if the Lord provides food for his family, he will trust Him with all his heart. He immediately received the answers of his prayers after three days of his prayer. This man and his family were out of food and they have no income that is why they were greatly discouraged and they were in a hopeless condition. Through the answers of his prayers, he immediately confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Thank you again and again for your love and help toward us. I do appreciate for your partnership. Sincerely yours, Lydia September 27th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director I am so sad to inform you that Bro. Aung*’s wife has gone to be with the Lord. She was sick with Covid 19 for a week long. Pastor Shalva*, Nepal director We all are doing good by the Grace of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. We are continuously losing our friends and Pastors because of Covid, last week itself we lost two more Pastors but they are not our supported missionaries however we lost very good ministers of The Lord. We are very seriously praying to The Lord that all the Pastors, leaders, and missionaries may be protected by His Grace. Our children are appearing final exams and we are quite busy for the ministry please remember us in your prayers. We have experienced flood, landslide, and natural disasters during this rainy season. About a dozen churches are collapsed, more than 500 families are victimized by the flood and out of that more than 50 christian families are suffered. We have helped some of them. These are the things i can share with you. Please remember us in your prayers. Thanking you so much for all your prayers and support. September 25th: Pastor Peter*, Kashmir *Corona curfew in Srinagar areas for 10 days..* SRINAGAR – District administration Srinagar has ordered strict corona curfew in some areas of the city for the period of 10 days starting today. I have immediately wired the funds to Lydia and I was informed they (Lydia and the local pastor) that they have received the funds. They are planning to distribute the food by tomorrow. I will send you some reports when I hear back from them. Thank you again for our kind burden and concern.” September 23rd: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director Praise the Lord [for funds sent for Lydia’s needs mentioned in the update on September 22nd]. September 22nd: Ashal*, Sri Lanka Greetings to you in Jesus name. I express my sincere thanks on behalf of the pastors for the support rendered even in the midst of pandemic disaster we have received the support April, June and August (3 month). We very much appreceiate your efforts and the generosity of those who donated for this mission. We r in lockdown from 20th August to October 1st of 2021. Churches are not functioning and we gather our believers on phone for prayers to encourage them to be firm in their spiritual life. We understand the difficult situation in rasing funds in these days. Once again I express my Sincere thanks for all of you. We uphold you in our daily prayer for your protection and the country. May the Lord bless and protect you at this Covid 19 situation. Yours in Christ Bro. Ashal Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh Greetings to you. Hope it will continue for us as He called us to implement His great commission in Bangladesh and hope so. Sincerely yours Darpan and Rina Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director Yes, fighting is happening in villages and small towns in [our] district everyday. But they are a bit far from us. The military used heavy weapons and all the villagers fled to jungle for safety. What we heard yesterday was there were some people who tried to help those who are in the jungle were beaten and arrested by the military. In Thantlang, Chin State, which has more than 1,800 households, three families (28 people) remain guarded. Twenty people are from an orphanage and there are two families with Covid. Similar news [of violence] in Kayah Sate and Magwe division. Lydia* appealed for help as they faced lots of problems in her place. Here is her letter asking for food for her people and I also included some pictures of the present flood. ‘I am Lydia from the Irrawaddy riverside. In our place, many people were sick with Covid 19 and more than 10 people have died already. Almost all of our church members were sick but we all were recovered by the grace of God. Most of the people are looking job but the flood made us harder to get the job. Also because of the civil war, our lives are in danger and the situation here is worse than worse. So, because of all those things, the need is more than what I say. Sometimes, some of our church members have no food to cook and we shared whatever we have and till today, the Lord has allowed us to live. I praise the Lord for His provision hands. I still remember that your have provided us help this time in last year. So, I want to ask this time also for your help before my people die. We are 47 families. These can feed a family for nearly one month and the cost is about 95,000 MMK (about $50). There are about 100 families [in total in the village]. We don’t have any problem in sending funds inside the country. Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director We didn’t hear any gunshot last night and I should say that the situation calmed down in [town]. Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director

September 21st: Pastor Ram*, Andaman Islands director Urgent Prayer Request: Mr. Aarav*, one of our church member, now is at [area], Tamil Nadu is admitted in Govt. Hospital, for sugar and urinary infection. Kindly pray for his healing. Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director Thank you very much for your kind and all the help and support, not only us but others people who are really also having difficulty. Our partners are also asking to me to thanks to you on behalf of them. Now day we are also very much careful whenever we give help because this present leader are not happy with, they want that many people will suffer and lost life, so that they can be the only helper and protectors. That’s why if they know the people who have help others they do arrest and make cause problems.eg. in [area] where the fighting are going on, they can only carry one bag of rice, it is so much difficult for the people, according to their words the present leader want them to die with hungry. So, this is one prayer too that God will help us to get freedom as soon as possible if not we will be again under their control which we have suffer for many years in the past. Thank you very much again for all the prayer and support. Your sincerely Thang September 20th: Pastor Peter*, Kashmir director Sarah* was not feeling from last 3 days. September 18th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director The people of Myanmar are shocked with the recent news which was happened today around 5:00 pm in Than Tlang, Chin Sate. Because of the heavy weapons used by the military, 19 houses were burned in the downtown and one pastor who was trying to cease the fire was shot death. The number of deaths and damages are not yet confirmed. It is very far from us. [Chin state is targeted by military at this time.] I believe this is because the Chin people stands together and became stronger. Also two great leaders if the NUG located in Chin State. Your prayer is our strength. The world should pay attention and take strong action. Now [attacks] happening in Hakha, the capital city of Chin state. Pastor Darpan*, BangladeshGreetings. The internet system (which is called Mytel communication company) was totally down as its receivers were destroyed all over the country because it is said that it’s owned by the Junta leaders. I am sad that the fiber internet access that I have installed with your help was this Mytel internet. Now it is totally down. Also, they add surveillance systems to all communications companies. Now I am using the mobile data for my internet which is too expensive. Now I came to learn another internet access service. If we buy this, they will charge for six months plus the broadband with a discount each month. So, the total cost for this internet system is Ks. 490,000 (about $270) which can be used for six months with unlimited. I think [military defections to join civilians] will also happen in [my town]. I was informed just now that our partners Myint* and Cin* (with his wife) are being sick with Covid 19 and they are in the hospital. Please pray for their soon recovery. Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director By the grace of God, the team was able to control the Covid 19 [in my hometown] and now there is no more Covid 19 positive. September 15th: Pastor Peter*, Kashmir director “As we requested for our vehicle that date of expiry and needed used car to carry out the work of the Lord. So pl. pray that my request may be heard with love and prayers.” Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh director “Now I am staying in a leader home and tomorrow we will visit new areas. So pray for His works in future and hope so.” September 14th: Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh director Pray for our parents, mostly they are sick, so need your prayers which is our main power in Lord. There is another information and request to you to pray because coming 20th September ’21 another Baptism program will take place in Satkhira in a new House church. We believe 70 or over believers will come to Him as they changed and surrendered themselves to Jesus. So praise the Lord. I am visiting a lot of places as much as He wanted to use me. So, pray for my outreach work with missionaries and hope for it. I would like to share a Very good news that in our Dinajpur area the Lord has provided 104 no. of new believers as they changed themselves in Him, repenting their sins and today they accepted Jesus as their personal Savior. Before few minutes I was connected to Elisha* [field leader] very hardly. So, PRAISE the Lord. Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director We are good and we are not hearing any gun shootings tonight. Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director Thank you very much for all your prayers and concern. Indeed we are worry and fear that something can happen at any time. At this time if something happens even our neighbors can’t do anything, the only thing that we do is prayer. Even one of our partners in [other area], do leave and went to his brother for safety going to be two months. Please kindly keep remember us in prayer for their safety and health. We are also very much aware and care when we speak with one another via phone because our phone are listen. With many thank for all the prayer and support. Thank you so much for all the prayer and concern for our daily lives and meals. It is and will be difficult more and more until we get freedom. Many people are getting and storing food, and that make more expensive compared to the past two/three months. We will be very much thankful if you could send, because of that we can buy food and curry to keep. Please kindly keep remember us in prayer. With many thank Your sincerely Thang Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director Around at 2:00 pm today, the army based which was about 1 km from us was attacked and it took about ten minute. Between [city] and [other city], the fighting took place and more than 40 people including children were killed. How sadness it is. The military uses excessive jet fighters and combat helicopters to attack one of the villages in Chin State. In [the city] also, we saw helicopters flying many times today. Yes, they do air attacks now. The fighting place is opposite of bro. Htun* who has a motorbike shop. I am in contacted with him and they are ok. There will be more. More than 30 houses in [other city] area are burned by the military. As long as the Lord allows, I will not let them [children living in the children’s home] leave because this war is all over the country. This is our decision. If I am to let them leave right now, I cannot guarantee them to arrive each of the homes safely because the problem is everywhere. I know that it [making hard decisions] is my calling. I trust the Lord will take care of us as we ask for His help. Our fiber internet line has been down. Our mobile data still works but very slow. September 9th: Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director We have heard many news about bomb blast in downtown, it seem we will be hearing this continue, please kindly keep remember us in prayer. With many thank, Your sincerely, Thang September 8th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director (Morning) People are running here and there and prepared to store food at their home since everyone knows that the situation will get worse. We will soon be short for food. Yes, I can talk with other leaders especially [in this region] who face the same as well as who have the same children ministry. As fathers of many children, we are worried but we believe that God is in on our side. I talked with other leaders in other states also. We had a messenger group with more than 100+ pastors and missionaries joined. We encouraged each other to pray. That’s all we can do right now. If you are to send funds, the sooner you can send would be better as we believe that the situation will get worse day by day. (Night) We are safe and there is no more bad news in [our town] but everyone is with fear and are not going outside. All our partners are also safe as we keep in touched each other. Thank you all for your concern and prayers which keeps us safe till today. Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director Indeed we are also warned to get ready if something happens, but for us there is no way to go because of the children. I will write more in detail. With many thanks, Yours sincerely, Thang* September 7th: Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director Thank you very much for your special concern and prayers. Yes, they declared [Civil war D-Day] which we were expecting. So far I have no idea, what will happen next it will take time. Because of Covid19 and the junta our life has been difficult, no work many people are finding hard and will be more difficult if it takes longer than what we expect, at present we are asked to stay at home. I believe internet wil be cut off very soon. Please kindly keep remember us in prayer for our freedom and safety as well as health. With many thanks, Yours sincerely, Thang* Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director Yes, it was declared [Civil war D-Day]. There was fighting also in [our city] but near by us. It is expected internet cutoffs. I don’t think we can be connected if the internet is cut off. Our prayer is to win.” Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh Holy Baptism Program took place on 5th Sept. Sunday morning but Praise the Lord that He blessed us providing only for 12 men and women at [site] though we had a target of over 50 new souls for the Lord. Due the Hindu & Muslim extremists works, our plan could not be fulfilled as the Satan made trouble to defend the work. The Baptism program was started nicely and believers was started to come but the pond owner is a Muslim whom came with Hindu people not to continue it as it was for own fishing pond. So, give thanks that at least Lord provided us only 12 new souls which are so great and these 12 will multiply over this village we believed so. We are praying with self confidence that the rest of the people will come to the Lord if we can be able to take them to another place due the pond’s water availability. Pray for the Hindu and Muslim whom are neglecting His work, not provide their fishing pond to this work and wanted to see the whole villagers to come to Lord once day and hope so. Sincerely Yours Darpan and Rina September 6th: Pastor Suraj*, Bihar, India The situation at flood affected districts are getting worse due to heavy discharge of water from Nepal and mountainous areas to Bihar. In one district only, recently ten thousand houses in lower areas were drowned. Many rivers are flooding and crossed the red or danger levels. Pastor Peter*, Kashmir director Our Kashmir needs prayer help in this difficult situation for our Kashmir valley. In 1947 when the Kabali people today’s their name changed are Taliban they came from Afghanistan entered in Kashmir. At that time the muslims helped our military forces to face them. Nowadays Kashmir is not liberal. They are fully committed in their Islam religion. So many young people are joining hardcore studies in Islam. And joining militancy. The difficult times of our life make us aware that we need God’s help. The God who helped us in the past can help us in our present storms and struggles. God is our rock; he is our refuge and a strong tower to protect us from any dangers and attacks from the enemy. We have the confidence that God listens to our prayers and answer them. Therefore, whenever we find ourselves in an unmanageable situation or trouble, we can call God and plead with him to answer our prayers. God knows our needs even before we pray to him. When we call him “Abba, Father,” he will make a way to save our young generation to live a peaceful life in Kashmir valley. Yours prayers will be valuable. With love from Pr. Peter and team Pastor Thomas*, Rajasthan, India Many people blessed through this meeting* and Received new believers. Thank you for your love and prayers support. *Special meeting on September 5 50 people accepted Jesus Christ and 26 took water Baptism. Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director Thank you so much for all your prayers and hard work, it has been always a blessing for us to be part of HB. Through all your prayers and support we are able to help many of our people in their great need. Covid19 is still one of the greatest fear, but it seem a little bit decreasing. Many people are still in bed because of Covid19. By God’s grace we are doing good, in spite of the crisis, this month will be a month that we are expecting great change in a better way. Please kindly keep remembering us in prayer. Indeed we are concerned and worry about the internet may cut off again very soon. Yes, it has been our prayers to God to be changed as soon as possible if not many more people will suffer and die. In 14th Sep, UN meeting will be especially day for us regarding our country. Also we able to visit our preaching centers where Lord is going to bless and this month there will be a Holy Baptism in a cluster villager where Muslim, Hindu and also lot of tribal people are living. So, pray for them. It is an another good news that tomorrow morning there will be a Holy Baptism program at [village]. It was taking preparation long before but due to some Hindu extremist this was slowly advancing and this slow or patience brought a good news. So, pray for the pastor and his wife, also his son. Tomorrow morning at 8:00 am if the weather is ok for us and then there will be a victory we believed so. Another field also have some promising news and if He wants –there are more blessing may come to this month and so pray for Bangladesh. Yours in His love Darpan and Rina September 3rd: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director Thank you for your continued prayers. The states that have had the internet cut are [4 states]. The military is more organized for fighting but it doesn’t mean that they are stronger because many military left their duties and joined the poeple’s force these days. The people’s force is stronger because they are supported by the people of Myanmar. Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director It has been greatly a blessing for us to help many people, who are in great desperate needs, in [3 states]. Not only that through the people who are suffering and in needs of oxygen we are also to help, we have finished the four tanks and are refilling them again for other people. We are also able to help pastors who have been ill and sick with Covid19. Indeed they are very much thankful for our help. Nirved* and family (Specially prayer request grandson Eight month), Christian rabi family, Ps. Ayaan* and family, Ps. Kiyansh* family – please pray for us. Now there is a lockdown in Sri Lanka. Now, many people died day by day. Please pray for us. God bless you. Sukeena August 31st: Pastor Suraj*, Bihar, India As I had earlier informed that besides COVID-19 now Bihar is facing severe floods and till now 16 districts of Bihar and nearly 8.5 million people are affected by the floods, which can last till September 2020. People are compelled to migrate and have to go through a lot of sufferings like house drowned, agricultural fields with harvest destroyed, cattle died, job loss, a family member died, hunger, thirst, no electricity, continual rains, etc. I am getting regular phone calls from Pastors and Leaders of affected areas for help. So, we are earnestly praying for some generous funds so that these people could be helped and relieved with some provisions of Dry Food Ration, Water Bottles, Plastic Covering, and needed medicines. I have herewith attached a short report: PATNA: The flood situation in Bihar remained grim in Bihar where over 8.5 Million people across 16 districts were affected of 130 Blocks, the Disaster Management Department said. Flood-related deaths increased to 77. The highest 31 casualties were registered in Darbhanga district, followed by twenty six in Muzaffarpur, fourteen in West Champaran and two each in Saran, Siwan and Khagaria districts. It said that about 5.5 Million people have been evacuated so far by 26 teams of National Disaster Response Force and State Disaster Response Force. Meanwhile, the Ganga continued to flow above the danger mark at three places in the state — Gandhi ghat and Hathidah in Patna and Kahalgaon in Bhagalpur district, the Water Resources Department said. The water level of the Ganga is witnessing a rising trend in Buxar, Patna Digha, Gandhi ghat, Hathidah and Kahalgaon while it has remained steady at Munger and Bhagalpur. Major rivers which are flowing above the danger level at several places in the state include the Bagmati, Burhi Gandak, Ghaghra and the Khiroi. The 16-flood affected districts are Patna, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Supaul, Kishanganj, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, Champaran, Khagaria, Saran, Samastipur, Siwan, Madhubani, Madhepura and Saharsa. Floodwaters have entered homes in Bishunpur village of Darbhanga district, forcing people to wade through waist-deep water, even as they try and salvage their valuables. “We witness flood every year, but this year all records have been broken,” a resident of the village said. Similarly, many people in Mabbi village of the district and some from the adjoining areas have come out to live on the streets, as portions of their houses have been washed away in the deluge. PATNA: The Ganga water level has crossed the danger mark substantially in the state, causing concern to the people living in the lower areas of the towns like Patna, Bhagalpur and Munger, as also in the Gangetic basin in the eastern Bihar districts of Khagaria and Katihar. The flood fear in the Gangetic basin has become acute. Further, moderate rainfall is expected till August 31. (Ganga water level rises and inundates Rajapur Pul areas in Patna) On Monday, the Ganga was flowing 31cm above the danger level at Buxar, 41cm above the red mark at Digha and 98cm above at Gandhi Ghat in Patna town, as well as 88cm at Hathidah in Patna district. The water level was also rising all along its downstream, including at Munger and Bhagalpur, and was flowing 71cm above the danger level at Kahalgaon, around 50km west of Farakka. The flood problem in the Ganga basin in Bihar is likely to accentuate in the next couple of days. Further, the catchment areas of several north Bihar rivers lying both in Nepal and Bihar – like of Kosi, Gandak, Bagmati, Burhi Gandak, Kamla and Mahananda — are expected to receive moderate rainfall (15mm to 64mm) up to August 31. Similar rainfall forecast has also been made with regard to south Bihar districts, where the catchment areas of rivers like Punpun and Sone also lie. On Monday, the flood bulletin issued by the state water resources department (WRD) said the water levels of both Sone and Punpun were rising. Thanks a lot for your prayers and concerns for us and Bihar. Best Regards! Suraj* Pastor Thomas*, Rajasthan, India Praise the lord. Please pray for our coming spacial meeting on 5 September 2021 Pastor Peter*, Kashmir director [From local news source] “*Afghan national held at Lakhanpur entry point in J&K’s Kathua* *Ascertaining his purpose of visit, his passport shows he is a teenager, say officials* Jammu, Aug 31 : Police Tuesday detained an Afghan national at a COVID testing centre established at Jammu and Kashmir’s Lakhanpur entry point in Kathua district. A police official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that a 17-year-old boy was detained by police in Lakhanpur near J&K-Punjab border, where restriction on movement of any-person was imposed under COVID guidelines and for testing. Police sources said that one Afghan national, aged about 17, was detained near COVID-19 testing point Lakhanpur after police observed some suspicious movement. “His identity was revealed from his Passport and Visa. He was taken to Lakhanpur Police Station for further enquiry,” the sources said. “Yes, a person from Afghanistan has been detained,” a senior police officer confirmed to KNO, adding that the “The Afghan national has valid travel documents, which shows that he is a teenager. This is why we are not disclosing his identity,” he said adding, “We are verifying the matter to find out how he entered into J&K and purpose etc. It would be premature to draw any conclusion as he is being quizzed.” The detention of Afghan national comes at a time when the Taliban has taken over the full control of the country and when the last US solider has left Afghanistan as part of the US forces’ pull-out from the country. Security forces in Kashmir have already been on a high alert to ensure there is no infiltration of Taliban militants into J&K territory—(KNO)” We are praying for peace in the valley of Kashmir. August 17th: Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director Thank you very much for your special concern and prayers with all the support. We are still in need of your prayer. One of the faculty at [our seminary] has been went to the Lord, he is just 33 years of age. Yours sincerely, Thang* Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director Thank you for your continued prayers and concerns. Yes, I am improving a lot but very slow because of my blood sugar. August 16th: Priya*, head of GATE (Gypsy and Tribal Empowerment) “This summer, with your help, we were able to provide 7 gypsy colonies with food relief total. The total number of families was around 1,300 helped this summer. Each family has around 2-4 people in it. We delivered rice bags and also food relief packets which included multivitamin tablets, 5 masks, hand sanitizer, chili powder, oil, garlic, 2 types of dahl, salt, turmeric powder, wheat flour, cinnamon, and mustard – our everyday staples. Thank you and praise God for the funds you were able to send to us here which were able to give help to these 7 gypsy colonies.” August 15th: Pastor Thomas*, Rajasthan India: Thank you for your love and prayers and support us. [It was the inauguration of a tailoring center for women]. August 14th: Pastor Peter* and Sister Sarah*, Kashmir directors “Dear prayers partners in Christ, I greet in the name of Lord Jesus Christ!!!! When the Lord Jesus Christ was going around on this earth he saw the multitudes with hunger so he moved with compassion. When the people share their sorrows and problems with us, with the same compassion and burdens we pray. When we see back covid-19 second phase it was so hard for the people who were facing problems and tears have flown down from our eyes when we read the letters and heard stories of people writing to us, standing in the gap, sharing their hearts that it was was not easy for them to survive, but because of HB team which is active and working for Kashmir valley, they were helped a lot. God will continue to give this burden in your hearts; may God bless you! Here are some case history of those who have received the food relief. With love and prayers, Pastor Peter* “I am Reyhana* wife of late Satyen*, resident of Srinagar Kashmir. I am a widow, having 5 children. All my children left me after their marriage except my elder daughter who is divorced and having two daughters. It was so hard to survive for me in this COVID 19 second phase, I was so upset that I could not feed my children. There was not a single food left in my house and the lockdown was so hard by the government that was giving me suicidal thoughts, but one of my neighbours told me about the lady Sarah* who was helping in this Covid-19 situation. I called her over phone and within no hours she came with the food items; after long time I was seeing huge food items in my house. I was so happy to receive that which was sufficient for two months. So I thank Sarah and team who came forward and helped me in the time of pain and sorrow. May God bless all of you thank you.” “I am Babir* from Bihar. I am a migrant worker from Gaya district in Bihar, living in Srinagar Kashmir. It was a hard time for all the labourers who came from Bihar India in the Covid-19 pandemic second phase. Again, the government announced lockdown and it was so hard and was a drastic situation here in the valley. Some of our migrant workers were beaten by the police who went for the search of food. But Mr Peter* and team were distributing food items in our area and they heard about us, they distributed food relief to all of us. They were like angels for us, giving us these food items and those food items were sufficient for 2 months. We all enjoyed and are praying for people who came in this pandemic situation. Once again, thank you. May God bless you.” “I am Gojen*, son of late Atul* in Srinagar Kashmir. On April 20th my wife died due to covid-19. It was hard to feed my children in the lockdown as I was not able to go out to earn as I am a daily wager. When my wife died none of my relatives or my neighbours came to see me. People were making jokes and afraid to meet me as Coronavirus is in my house. Some days passed. I was running short of food items. In that situation, an angel came from my street; a team with Mr. Peter* and Sarah*, they came with food items. That was a huge relief and heart touching for me. I received that with great honour and told my case history to them. May God bless them who are helping in the time of pain and sorrow. May God bless you all.” August 10th: Pastor Shalva*, Nepal director Thank you for everything that you are supporting us. A few days ago Jandi* had first dose verocell vaccine from China and she needs to have second dose within four weeks. Covid is still increasing again there will be lock down however we can travel short distance in our private vehicles. We are trying to help many Churches to continue in the ministry because of lockdown many Churches who had rented place and can’t pay rent so those Churches are in ministry survival crises. We were able to help more than 20 Churches to help them to at least survive in the ministry so that they can do more once the situation is normal. Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director Hi, Greetings to you all in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Thank you very much for all your help and support especially in prayer throughout this difficult time. I am also sick and busy with the dead of my brother in law. He was, or is, one of our missionaries supported. This morning one of our coworker teacher at the Bible college, has went to the Lord this morning. Please kindly keep remembering us in prayer for our safety and health, because of the change of our leaders many lives have been taken away from us, all the doctors and nurses are no longer working with them, and hospital and private clinics are closed. If we are suffering from Covid19 third wave, we just have to stay and treat ourselves at home because there is no choice. Till today many people are suffering, almost every house. Kindly keep remember us in prayer. Thank you very much formal your prayers and great concern. It has been always encouraging for us to be part of HB. Knowing that you are always with us in providing our great needs in a great time of crisis. Which is a blessing for us. With many thanks, Yours sincerely, Thang Pastor Suraj*, India Thanks a lot for help for Pastor Nimesh* and others [who were beaten and persecuted]. This is a great help during such terrible time. A LOT OF THANKS and APPRECIATION! Thanks for your prayers for Bihar! Recently only COVID cases have come down and now flood started. At present in our state Covid cases are under control but may rise up as it is increasing in other states due to travelling and migration. Blessings! August 9th: Pastor Suraj*, India Hi, please pray as now Patna and 13 other districts are in flood red alert and already some areas are flooding and people are migrating from their villages to safer places besides continual rains are going on. Thanks! Pastor Ram*, Andaman Islands Prayer Request: Pr. Ranjit* along with his wife went to Chennai on 8th August to see his ailing mother. Kindly pray for his mother’s healing and also his travel. August 8th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director Because of your prayers and concern, my wife is doing well now but still needs to gain strength. I am also improving a lot but I started a new course of medicine today and it will take another 5 days. Please continue to pray for God’s complete healing upon us. Please also continue to pray for us as we will need more money as our treatment expenses are too high. We still believe that God will provide us. August 7th: Pastor Ram*, Andaman Islands Urgent Prayer Request: Sister Rose, Wife of Pastor Yash*, is suffering from low sugar level and under medication. Kindly uphold her in your prayers for speedy recovery. August 6th: Pastor Peter*, Kashmir By the grace of Lord Jesus Christ. Please kindly keep remember us in prayer for the comfort. Yours sincerely, Thang* Pastor Ram*, Andaman Islands Praise the Lord! Good news is that for Andaman is churches were allowed to open with 25 persons from 5th onwards. As of today only 4 cases are in hospital. August 4th: Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh director Very sad news which is that our Jamalpur field where Partner Raj* has been serving and where Co-worker Prakash* who died yesterday evening attacked by the Covid-19 and today we got the information when I was sharing the confirmation of their fact and heard this very sad news. August 3rd: Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh director Greetings in Jesus name and thanks for the message including the all blessing He has kept touched and cares through HB. We are always thankful. I myself with my wife Rina* sorry for the delay in sharing with you the report of the relief program of COVID-19 and Cyclone Yaas – [people] were ruined and it has been devastating –people were suffering a lot of crisis. As I appealed to you for [help during] the pestilence and demolishing of the said people and called you to stand beside the COVID-19 and Yaas victimized, you responded, feeling this crisis into your heart and provided a big amount by the touch of the Holy Spirit. Our organization in Bangladesh has accomplished [the work] in the last month in June 2021 through the COVID-19 duration. So, we are thankful to you and HB so, praise the Lord. Sincerely Yours Darpan and Rina” Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director Thank you very much for all your prayers and concern with the support. It has been greatly encouraging and great hope for us in this time of difficulty that we all face. We are very much deep in thanks. Please kindly keep remember us in prayer especially for who suffer badly from Covid19 third wave even my brother in law is still using oxygen. With many thank Your sincerely Thang July 31st: Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh director Greetings and thanks for your July 2021 support. We are so thankful and praying for your all safety as the COVID-19 has been attacking some states of the USA, so we are a little bit worried, though Bangladesh is passing through such a hard time as the COVID-19 is the 3rd wave in Bangladesh. All the health expatriates and the wise are afraid of the attack and warn that a very big bad time has and will be faced in Bangladesh in August and September 2021. So, pray for Bangladesh. Sincerely yours, Darpan and Rina*, Bangladesh Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director Greetings to you all in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you very much for your special concern and love. By God’s grace through all your prayers and concern I am doing good. But at present my brother in law is suffering very bad for his oxygen level it is about 50-60. If you could help us to get oxygen, one oxygen concentrator. Because we have very difficult and hard time to get oxygen. Please kindly keep remembering us in prayer – still many people are suffering from oxygen. We send our love and greeting with many thanks, Yours sincerely, Thang July 29th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director I’m glad to inform you that the new concentrator arrived just home safely and will be used immediately by one pastor. Thank you for everything you have done for us. Thank you for your prayers for me and my wife. We are making slow process, but we are in His hands of moving forward to the recovery dates. July 27th: Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh director The news which I wanted to share about Mrs. Radia*. She still has been staying at Hospital for treatment. Today she got all test reports. She is safe from Covid-19 but has a lot of complications which are as like water in the lung, heart and breathing problems. Taking medication and the doctors are suggesting her to stay more two days and this medicine has to be continued for more 20 days and then will be check up again for the 7 tests and finally her treatment will be started. So, pray for her and hope. July 26th: Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director Sorry for not replying your message. I am really weak and could not check my messages. I could not sit long just laying on my bed. By God’s grace no more fever but tired and weak. Please kindly keep remember me for my strength. Almost every house suffer. Thank you very much for your special concern and prayers. Regarding oxygen, there are two options. One is to buy refilling one and another is with the electronic one without refilling, but that cost more than the refilling one. Because the present [military] leaders are hoping and expecting that many people will go to their hospital. But since no one trust anymore, no one goes there – instead, staying at home and doing by ourselves for safety. That causes them to control oxygen refilling centers and they no longer allow the public to refill and that causes many lives to be taken. If there is anything possible, it will be a great help and hope for many of our people. With many thanks, Yours sincerely, Thang Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh director Greetings and I believe everybody is safe by His grace. I would like to share about Mrs. Radia*, who has been continuing her treatment in the District General Hospital and bearing a lot of complications which are like Jaundice. Typhoid also the doctors have been suspecting, or attacked by Corona, etc. The physicians of the hospital have given some examinations and others tests – results will be come tomorrow evening or little later. So, we have to wait for more. She is admitted and taking medication by the physicians. So, pray for her and Bangladesh. July 25th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director I have not heard back from Thang* since I contacted last night. Thank you to all the donors, cheerful givers, who are saving lives today and bringing glory and honor to our God in this dark and hopeless nation, Myanmar. Today, we have picked up new one Concentrator and I will let you know as I pick up another new one. The children are getting well and noboby in the bed becuase of this sickness and my wife and I also improves a lot because of your prayers. Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh director Mrs. Radia*, wife of Partner Gautam* is taking treatments – according to her symptoms providing the medications. Doctors are suggesting to stay and want to watch her conditions for the next steps. I am keeping my communication to Gautam as to his wife’s conditions and will let you know. Kindly pray for her healings and hope. July 23rd: Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh directorThe COVID-19 situation is worsening badly day to day and today the Government has announced the shutdown up to 5th August 2021 and none could come out and no wheels will move in the road due to controlling of the high number of deaths every day. Also UNO & WHO warns our Prime Minister again for that. So, we are living in a very terrible time and remember us with your daily prayers. An urgent prayer request wanted to share all that is our partner Gautam’s* wife is seriously ill by cough, cold and all body pains which is intolerable and he was taking her to the Divisional Hospital for treatment. Her condition is not good. So, pray for her and hope. July 22nd: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director Thank you for all the funds. I am so glad to inform you that I have picked up the funds. I will cooperate to make an order with our [Young Adult] Group and let you know as the Oxygen Concentrators arrive. Thank you so much, these will help especially pastors, missionaries as many of the pastors are not in a position to afford. May the Lord bless you and all the donors. Amen! July 20th: Pastor Shalva*, Nepal director I had my Covid-19 vaccine given by American Government and People of USA free of Cost. This kind of vaccine is given only one dose so this is first and last for Covid-19. It is Johnson and Johnson. It is for me but not for Jandi* because of age group priority. Jandi can have Chinese Verocell from 22nd of July but it should be two doses in 4-6 weeks interval. Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director The shortage of oxygen is so real. The more we get oxygen, the more we can saves lives. But the oxygen cost is skyrocket and of course we can purchase slowly by slowly. 20L Concentrator – ks. 17,00,000 ($1035). It will take three days. 40L cylinder – ks. 520,000 mmk ($316). The concentrator is best to have because it needs no refill. July 19th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director My youth pastor went to glory two days back (Covid). Pray for his family. July 16th: Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director Please kindly keep remembering us in prayer for our health. I, myself, and my wife are still weak. It seems every house suffers from flu and Covid. With many thanks, Yours sincerely, Thang Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh director Greetings to you all in Jesus’ name and still have believed that He is our living Lord saving all by His grace as the pandemic has been increasing in fewer countries of South Asia. But we are safe till today. Thank the Lord for His mercy every time to our daily lives. Now I would like to share the good news in which for you prayed for. He answered where He won 71 numbers of new souls and these believers are from [certain caste], but not – they are all in one Christ, as they are believers of Christ. Praise the Lord. I am thankful to the Lord for His blessing upon this village, and the same to you all of HB as you prayed for the success and the victory that happened today. We believed so. Sincerely Yours, Darpan* and Rina* July 15th: Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh director Pray for tomorrow, because of the Holy Baptism will take place – that weather can stay in favor of the program’s success. In this present time – it has been raining. So, we need your prayers to see His blessings. The relief work already has been started in Faridpur where the commodities have been distributed today, and we have another same program in Naogaon area in one center. We believe within this week we will be able to accomplish the total relief program. So, pray for Bangladesh. Still we are sharing with each other about 2022 plan, thinking for His kingdom works. And you would be wonder to hear that our new believers’ heart is very big and I myself became astonished to hear that one of the coworker wants to donate 5 bigha [one bigha = 6,773 square meters]. And other holy hearted people want to give lands for schools and others programs. So, I am spellbound to see their love for the Lord. Pray for the loving people and hope so. July 14th: Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director Thank you very much for your special concern and love. Yes, it is heart breaking for our people, due to the crisis and Covid which takes many of our love ones into glory and many people are also suffering. Since February till today more than 76 pastors died because of lack of oxygen. Indeed most of our children also suffer from seasonal flu. Myself, my wife and my daughter also got sick this morning. By God’s grace we are able to go to fever clinic and get some medicine and now we all are getting better. Please kindly keep remembering us in prayer for our health and safety. With many thanks, Yours sincerely Thang July 13th: Pastor Peter*, Kashmir director Today was the tough time to reach the village with some food items. Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh director Greetings and hope everyone is well and saved by His grace. We are the same but every time is passing with very dreadfully because of average daily attacking by COVID-19 percentage is very high and this is very bad – that within this situation our government has taken a foolish decision to withdraw the shutdown due to celebrating their Islamic religion festival Eid (Cow cutting and dedication celebration) for 8 days and in this time all markets, shops, transportation will be normal which will bring more dangerous impact to the people’s daily lives –in which for death will be double or more and so that elites are saying foolish decisions. So, pray for Bangladesh. The good news is [in the south] we were praying and still have been praying to seeing His glory over a Hindu village – the Lord has made a big blessing through the Holy Spirit, where over 70 people have made a decision to accept Jesus as their personal Savior. Coming 16th July Friday – the Holy Baptism will take place at the morning time. So, pray for this village. And other village also – near about 40 people – was also going to prepare in the Lord and we need to pray to see the Holy Spirit blessings upon that village. So, pray for the village – because we had been praying for a long time, keeping hope to see His blessings. So, pray for the people who are going to make their decision by the Holy Spirit. So, pray for our team members and their family and hope so. Pray for two other teams where our missionaries are spending a lot of time and believing there will come good fruits as we believe so. In His only begotten Jesus name and Amen. Darpan and Rina Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director Thank you very much for your concern and love with all the prayer. By God’s grace we are doing good, but we have heard that many people died every day and many people are also suffering because of lack of oxygen. We are like a sheep without shepherd. Please kindly remember us in prayer for our safety from the crisis and Covid19 third wave. With many thanks, Your sincerely, Thang July 12th: Pastor Peter*, Kashmir director Dear prayer partners in Christ. God’s unconditional love for humanity is unfathomable and beyond human comprehension. Right from the beginning of creation, we see the manifestation of God’s love for humans. God did not forsake the fallen Adam and Eve. God sent “his one and only Son” Jesus to save the sinful world. God re-established and restored his relationship with humanity through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus and offers salvation and eternal life. He answers human’s every prayer. Every day, we can see God’s love and care for weak humanity. The place is insufficient to mention all that God did, does, and stores for the humans. Job wonders, “What is mankind that you make so much of them, that you give them so much attention, that you examine them every morning and test them every moment?” (Job.7:17,18). All these suggest that God is Love; He loves every human without limit. His love and care are inexplicable in any human language. Another group has done medical camp in here on Saturday, that was the greatest need of the people of the area. This type of medical camp we want to do further in coming days in Kashmir valley. So please keep us in your prayers. With love and prayers Pr. Peter July 9th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director All the cylinders have arrived today. The 10 bottles of 10 cylinders have been handed over to my church’s volunteer group and I have kept 2 bottles of 15L cylinders for my wife at home. Thank you so much for everything you have done for us. My wife responds to oxygen well. July 8th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director My wife and I have tested positive. My wife request oxgygen since his oxygen level is 88%. Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director We are in great need of your prayer as before. Covid third wave kill many of our pastors more than 50 as well as many people died and many people suffer badly, nothing to do just stay at home with oxygen many people also died because of lack of oxygen. Even in my village almost everyday people died. Because of the raining season many people are also get flu even our children has been sick one after another. Thank to our God that they are getting better and doing good. This Covid third wave is very short people suffer just 3 or 4 days only. Thank you very much for your prayers. Yours sincerely, Thang July 7th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director My wife and I got sick and loss taste and smell. Please pray. Concerning the oxygen, it is hard to get around the country. It takes longer than I think. Now I am glad to inform you that last night ten bottles of 40 L cylinders and the concentrator have arrived. I will update you when the 10L cylinders arrived. My church volunteer group picked up the cylinders and brought them to the patients immediately. The need for oxygen is great especially for the city where we live. We are expecting the 10L also will arrive soon. Definitely, they are of a great help to our people here. Thank you for your generosity. Pastor Shalva*, Nepal Please remember Nepalese people and situation we are facing here in your prayers. They are: Covid-19 infections are still 25% -27% and because of heavy rain every where land slide, three towns, each having 200+ houses are washed away; about 80 people died and over 100+ people are missing, 15 highway bridges are collapsed, people are not getting Covid vaccine. My mom had Covishild vaccine 20 weeks ago but government is silent about it and we don’t know when she gets second dose and it should be given within 6-8 weeks for my mom who is 74 years old. This is the situation with every elderly person here in Nepal. We don’ t know when we get vaccine. Our Children’s education and board exams are uncertain. So many things to share I will share more in the days to come. Please remember us in your prayers and we do regularly and continuously remember you in our prayers. July 6th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director We continue to pray for the needs of my native village. By God’s grace, they are doing very well. Please continue to pray for us. The death rates are rising up to 43 people only in today. Some of our children are feeling better but more and more children are getting sick. Pastor Shalva*, Nepal Now Covid- 19 looks like decreasing however the infection percentage is still 20%-25% according to government. The lockdown is partially lifted up but Schools, Colleges and Religious centers like Temple, Church, Mosque and Buddhist Istupa still not opened for regular worship. I have used some covid funds for helping about fifty Pastors’ families who have left their family and went to be with the Lord. And other covid funds used to provide food packages to the poorest of the poor families and Children. We have helped around 300 families that is about 1200 people benefited who will eat the food for about one month which we have contributed. Pastors’ families were in acute need of finances because what they had all finished in Pastors treatment that they had nothing with them so we helped 50 Pastors families – that is about 200 people. There is flood, land slide, and towns have been washed away by the flood. We also helped Three Churches which was washed away by flood. Please kindly remember us in your prayers. Because of last three four days regular rains 15 bridges in the high ways are collapsed and the food price in Kathmandu is almost inflated by three times than 15 days before. Everywhere problem in one side Covid pandemic and in another side natural calamities. The poor people in Nepal is suffering like anything. Please uphold us in your prayers. Thanking you so much for all your concern and prayers. Pastor Thang*, Myanmar co-director I am able to make a phone call to our missionaries partners and my former students who do church planting in Mindat and Loikaw who also leave their home for safety because of the crisis. I ask to them what is their most need at present they all say to me that the most needs is rice, food not other things. Since they just leave their home without any thing. I am very much please and thankful to our God for the help of HB that we are going to give something of what they are really in need. I will be sending some help to buy food or rice today. Yes, we are hit by Covid19 third wave which even kill around 30 pastors and many people are suffering at present. Please kindly remember us in prayer. With many thanks, Yours sincerely, Thang* July 5th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director Dear Friends, All of our children are somehow feeling better but all have lost taste and smell. There are symptoms of Covid 19 in our family. My youngest son continues with a high fever and your prayers for all of us would be greatly appreciated. The medicine helps a lot. July 4th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director My city’s Covid 19 news: Jul. 1 – 26 died Jul. 2 – 23 died Jul. 3 – 33 died Jul. 4 – 27 died Please pray for us continuously. Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh I share a very very good news which is today we have a big Holy Baptism Programme in one of our Districts. Most of our missionaries are over there and now already have started the programme. Last week shared about it requested to pray for 3 areas. Today is one of them. Pray for the programme to glorify His kingdom; we hope so. Darpan & Rina* Bangladesh July 3rd: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar co-director Your prayers would be greatly appreciated for our children as their fever couldn’t not come down. Also there is no doctors where we can take them to as all clinics are closed due to the quick spread of the virus. We greatly need God’s healing hand upon our children. Thank you for joining us in prayer. This is the final expenditure for our oxygen:
1. 5L Concentrator – Ks. 1,374,000 ($835)
2. 40 L + Flow meter – 10 bottles x Ks. 220,000 = 2,200,000 ($1337)
3. 15 L cylinder (One set) – 10 bottles x Ks. 155,000 = Ks. 1,550,000 ($942)
4. 10 L cylinder (One set) – 10 bottles x Ks. 135,000 = Ks. 1,350,000 ($820)
5. All total transportation cost – Ks. 107,000 ($65)
Total amount – Ks. 6,571,000 ($3994)
The total amount I received from you was Ks. 6,825,000 ($4148) in Myanmar currency and I will use Ks. 254,000 ($155) for our children’s medical expenses. Our children are also affected one to another and now more are getting sick. [60 children living in children’s home, plus Pastor Pan’s own four children] Please pray for their soon complete healing.
I have purchased 8 bottles of 5L oxygen cylinders which are available in my city and I have immediately handed over to my Church’s volunteer group as the oxygen is urgently needed to the patients. I praise the Lord that we have got at least some to meet the immediate need.
Now I ordered the 5L contractor in Yangon as it not available even in Mandalay and it will take about a week since there is no regular buses running because of the problems in Myanmar. The 15 L and 10 L cylinders are ordered in Mandalay and it will take several days to arrive to us. I will update you as they arrive.
Please continue to pray to get more help for us the need in our country is so great. Also please continue to pray for God’s provision so that we can meet the needs on time at my native village.
Once again, thank you for standing with us faithfully to meet the urgent needs for my people here. Together, we can save lives before more of our loved ones are passed away.
In Christ,
Bro. Pan
June 24th:
Pastor Pan*, Myanmar Co-director Today’s situation in my city. More than 10 people died today because of Covid 19 including 2 great pastors. Continue to pray for our safety. The military also detained five teenagers and their families don’t know were they are taken. They went and asked to the police office and military office but they were not told anything about their children. It is very sad. As of 8:00 pm news just now, here, 17 people died with Covid including three pastors. June 23rd: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar Co-director Yesterday, the medical team at my native village started working to test the people at the village. They have tested 124 people and 79 were found tested positive. They will continue testing about 30 more people by today and there are still more people are sick on bed. Since lack of the test kits, it seems they cannot make tests of all the sick people who are in bed. They also have started giving a little treatment to the positive patients. Thank you so much for your continued prayer for my native village.June 22nd:
Pastor Pan*, Myanmar Co-director The fighting is bad and still going on here. Of course our partners are still safe by God’s grace. Thank you for your prayers. In my city, the Covid 19 third wave has been spreading widely and more and more people have died every day. Even in today, 2 couple pastors have died. The military is not doing anything for the people instead they hurt more and more innocent people here.June 21st:
Pastor Suraj*, India Thank you very much for your fervent prayers for us and for Bihar, India and we are seeing its results that this month the cases are coming down. In April and May, the cases were in peeks and there was so much crises of Oxygen cylinders and concentrators that their black rates were skyrocketing even up to $1500 for 10 liters oxygen. But this month due to lesser patients, now they are available and rates came down. Therefore at present we do not need them so much but certainly if the waves return back as some top doctors are predicting about it to come in next 2-3 months, then we will need them. Meanwhile people need helps towards their economical upliftment. Thanks Pastor Pan*, Myanmar Co-director The situation is worsened in my native village. I discussed with one volunteer medical team. They are willing to go there if I can provide the cost for medicines and test kits. He estimated that for at least for 120 people and may be more also. The estimate cost is as follows; 1. To purchase medicines + Ks. 5,800,000 2. 150 test kits x Ks. 25000 = Ks. 375,000 Total needs = Ks. 5,875,000 about $4092 The medical team can’t provide the above needs but they are willing to give service to my native village people if we can provide the above needs. As I tried to raise funds, I have received 650,000 MMK donations. That means the need is Ks. 5,525,000 (3,356.85 USD). Please pray for this urgent need that the Lord will provide to save lives in my native village. What we are doing now is, we lockdown the whole the village and provide some first aids medications. This is what we can do right now. I will appreciate for your special consideration on this urgent need. In Christ, Bro. Pan Pastor Ram*, Andaman IslandsPraise God! Bro. Dilip* has been discharged from hospital and advised to take medication regularly. Due to one side paralyzed, he couldn’t walk properly (with the help of stick he moves) and can’t work. Three years before, he got pressure attack and become like this. His owner gave him a small hut to stay in and take care his property. His wife Maya is taking care the house with the meagre income of taking care of (watchman) property. He has one son, a student of 5th. Kindly pray for this poor family. In spite of this horrible condition, they strongly believing the Lord and leading them in Christ.
As Bro. Dilip* committed his life for the Lord and wants to serve the Lord by telling that Jesus is the Lord to the people. Pray for his complete healing and his commitment for God’s work. June 19th: Pastor Ram*, Andaman Islands Praise God! Bro. Dilip*’s bp level has come normal and recovering from other illness. Continue your prayers, as he was one side paralyzed person. With the help of stick slowly walking. June 18th: Pastor Ram*, Andaman Islands Urgent Prayer Request: One of our Church member, Bro. Dilip*, is admitted in G.B. Pant Hospital, Port Blair due to high bp, he couldn’t able to speak properly. Kindly uphold him in your prayers for miraculous healing. June 17th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar Co-Director “URGENT APPEAL FOR COVID 19 RESPONSE: There is a small beautiful mountain village in northern part of Chin sate, Myanmar where I was born and grown up and it stands at the boundary of India and Myanmar. The people are day to day workers and depend on their daily income. Since the coup in Feb. 1st, their lives are harder and face lots of problems in their daily living. The hardships and the difficulties are growing rapidly since it is a very poor area as no one provides any help toward this village. In the beginning of June 2021, the people in this village have been suffering from Covid 19 virus and 5 people have died already. There are about 70 families living in this village and now 90% of the people are affected with this virus. It is very sad to learn that there are no doctors and no nurses who can give treatment to the Covid 19 patients. Also since they are so poor, they can’t afford to purchase any medicine even for themselves. What a sorrowful time for the people of this village. We are now taking the steps to work with those who have the same burden with us to help these helpless people, otherwise there is no hope for their future lives. Please pray and give your kind attention to these needy people before it is too late. ‘Together we can save lives in this particular village.’ We will be glad to answer if you have any questions…” Pastor Shalva*, Nepal Director Thanking you so much for all your love concern prayer help and support. Covid-19 has killed many young and energetic pastors. So much loss for the Churches in Nepal. Now the flood (excessive continuous rain since three days) also has washed one town; more than 100 houses are collapsed and about three churches also washed away. The situation is very bad. I have no words to explain the situation. Please continuously pray for people of Nepal. Weather forecast says there will be more rain than before will be the situation in the coming days. June 15th: Pastor Suraj*, India Warm Greetings to you in Jesus’ glorious name! This is to report to you that with the given funds of USD $3000/- for the relief, we prepared 100 Big Packets of Dry Food Ration and distributed among 100 Families, who either suffered from COVID or economically. The Relief Packets contained 12 items of Dry Ration like Rice, Wheat Flour, Pulse, Gram Flour, Crushed Rice, Sugar, Salt, Biscuits, Biscuits, and sanitizing items like Hand washes, Soap, Masks, etc. This Packet would be sufficient for a small family of four persons for two weeks. Thus, how about 400 people would be benefitted from 100 Relief Packets. The people were very much happy to receive the packets and were grateful for this support during this pandemic. The Relief Packets were distributed at two distribution centers of [our city] suburbs from where selected suffering people came and collected their Packets. Our church believers also helped as volunteers in the smooth distributions. I appreciate you & HB team very much for this help and convey our HEARTIEST THANKS to the donors! Best Regards! Suraj Pastor Jairaj*, India Tomorrow, funeral of young man of our church is happening. June 14th: Pastor Jairaj*, India “Some of the families lost their houses because of Corona. They came and asked some place to stay. I have decided to keep them in our children home building. For them to sleep in the children’s home first floor is good for staying. But we have to make flooring. I can use $1000 for that purpose. They will stay until their life is re organized. Right now we have 10 people in 3 families. Prayerfully, Pastor Jairaj June 13th: Pastor Ram*, Andaman Islands Obituary: Deeply mourn the sudden demise of one of our church members at hospital [on mainland in Tamil Nadu] today morning. Kindly pray for his family members comfort and the smooth funeral service. June 11th: Pastor Ram*, Andaman Islands Dear beloveds, By the grace of the Lord, we are all safe and hope you all are too. May month support has been distributed to all the missionaries. Also, I have received my personal support of 250 dollars. I am so thankful for your timely help. My wife’s health condition is improving and thank you for your prayers. Still the churches are closed and as of now about 100 + cases. Only two hours, i.e. 6-8 am, for groceries and vegetable shops opening. Daily laborers are suffering. All our missionaries in Andaman are fine. On behalf of Andaman missionaries, I extend my heartfelt wishes and prayers for your kingdom work. Yours in His Services, Ram* Pastor Peter*, Kashmir Pray for thunder storm in Kashmir valley. They said that a massive blaze engulfed a Sweeper colony around 9:30 pm on Thursday night which spread like a bushfire and left at least 13 houses completely damaged while 31 families put up in these houses were rendered homeless. Luckily there was no loss of life reported in the incident. Please keep my tomorrow in your prayers. As 25 houses were damaged due to fire in my town and they are the sweepers and poor people. June 9th: Pastor Shalva*, Nepal: I am very thankful to you for all your concern, prayer, love and support for us. The situation in Nepal is very much difficult especially for those who are doing the Gospel work and leading the Church biblically. There are some reasons which I like to mention in points: 1. Because of Covid-19 pandemic, government has forcefully done intensive lockdown but not given any support for the people. Majority of the believers in Nepal are from low income background who have to earn daily to provide daily needs for the family. They have no work after the lockdown. They have no savings to meet daily expenses and they approach Church to get some relief from the Church. They are the most faithful givers in the Church while the situation is good and if they have a job. 2. The Church doesn’t have so much resources, however we tried to give some relief from the Church’s savings. Now no more gathering in the Church, as people have no jobs, so there is no offering and tithes in the Churches. At this situation, the Church has no more resources except praying to The Lord. 3. Pastors are also suffering as whatever support they were getting is no more coming and other support like family business, teaching in the schools, etc. also not working. So pastors are also in a difficult condition. Even if pastors want to support they have nothing. 4. During this pandemic we lost more than 35 pastors and another 50 pastors are in ventilator and they need to pay everyday about Nrs 20,000/ i.e $200/ to hospitals and there is no assurance they will be healed. In Nepal, hospitals are looting like anything as the government doesn’t regulate anything. I have come to know one family had spent about Nrs 50,00000/ i.e $45,000/ for Covid-19 treatment and even after spending that much, the patient passed away. If poor Christians need to go to hospitals they will die without getting any treatment. I am afraid sometimes people will die there, not because of virus but starvation. So it is our responsibility to save our brothers and sisters in The Lord by providing at least some food during this pandemic. 5. In this time, market inflation is gone up by minimum 40% to 80% depending on the items. Cooking oil was just Nrs 160/ ie. $1.50/ per liter last year but this year Nrs 260/ ie. $2.30, likewise food prices have gone up by at least 30%. 6. Our neighbouring countries’ people are getting Covid-19 vaccine but we are not getting and when we will get it is not sure. 7. Our Prime Minister dissolved the parliament two times in six months and the country is in political unrest. The situation of the people is so bad and government doesn’t give anything. 8. Christians are the greatest sufferers because we are persecuted – people are biased and think that Christians are getting it from abroad and we are looked at with suspicious eyes, socially and politically. 9. I have no words to explain the situation that children and women are facing. 10. Our concern is to help the poorest of poor irrespective of religion, caste, color, social strata. We want to save at least a few through our tireless prayers, help and support. 11. If you can do anything, please open your hands towards the people of Nepal. We want to help as much as possible according to the resources available with us. Thanking you so much for all your help, support and prayer.” Pastor Jairaj*, India director: At the time of Corona influence the following things are happening: People lose their jobs. No income to the family. As a result starvation is coming to the families. Health problems are coming because they eat no nutritious food. To go to the hospital they need money. Especially the old people and children are affected very much. People have already borrowed loans. Now they are unable to pay. As a result the installments are accumulated. It is a stress for them. I saw some women became sex workers out of poverty. Since they have very little money, they buy and eat street food which causes damage to their health. Last week one Christian brother died at 45-years-old because of not being able to buy the needed medicine. He did not inform anyone. Believers are becoming less interested because they have too much stress for Bible reading and prayers in many places. Our food supplies are giving them a new strength. They started doing some work in the houses and increasing their prayer and Bible reading time. In some families, the bread winner died from Corona and we, the local church, are helping them with food and house rent, etc. For some people we have to pay for the funeral expenses like a box, van and digging the ground etc. We have supplied food materials, also for them, and we supply cooked food to the Corona patients’ caretakers staying outside the hospital. We provide purified water, sanitizer, masks, and vitamin supplements. June 8th: Sukeena*, Sri Lanka Praise the Lord. Greetings to you all in the name of Jesus. At the moment we are in lockdown. We can’t conduct Sunday services due to strict regulation of the health authorities. We are connecting the believers on the phone for prayers. There is a village completely isolated; pastors and believers of our church in the village are also isolated. Please pray for them. We are upholding you all in our daily prayer and we hope for a better solution. Thank you for all the help rendered. My daughter and my son had sickness. (Cough and fever). Last week I had sickness. Jesus Christ is healing me. Now I’m better. Today bad news. In my village 5 families are affected by Covid 19. Please pray for my village and my family. May God bless you. June 6th: Pastor Pan*, Myanmar (Burma) P – “It is very sad that we closed our church service again this Sunday due to the C-19. I don’t know how long this will take? Now many people are suffering from Covid 19 and within the last three days, four pastors have died in Cikha, Chin state because of the Covid 19 where Bro. Lan* and his family live. This new wave is connected to India, the news said. Here in [our town], new positive cases are rising up and many of them died due to lack of hospital workers and equipment and treatment. A home stay order is announced in almost all cities in the Chin state. Very limited hospital workers are doing what they can do and we are afraid that this could be out of control. Many charity workers want to be involved in this particular work to take care of the Covid 19 patients but many charity organizations stop doing it because they are afraid of the military. (See rest of update on the Myanmar Coup Updates). Your prayers and your continued support will be greatly appreciated. In His Service, Bro. Pan” June 5th: Pastor Shalva*, Nepal Thanking you so much for all your support, prayer, and help. I will help that funds ($3000) to help the pastors admitted in the hospitals to cover up some of their expenses. June 4th: Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh Greetings in Jesus name and I believe everyone is well and good by His grace. We are so thankful for your love and care for Bangladesh by your hard work every time, so we are thankful every moment to the Lord, and then you. Hopefully the $10,000 [HB is sending] will come to Bangladesh soon. Hope the living Lord is with you and all to bring His glory; we have been praying and hope so. Pastor Jagan*, India-Bhutan Border Thank you for all the efforts to bless the nation. It will be great that we can help out the suffering community with the SOS situation. By His grace we have received the two oxygen concentrators we have ordered. And some food supplies already we have distributed. Thank you! June 3rd: Pastor Jairaj*, India Director [With $3200] So far we did distributions to 200 families. If we calculate each family has four persons average – husband, wife and two children then each family may have four members, equaling about 800 beneficiaries. The food lasts for two weeks time, except for some big families. We did the distribution in the following states: 1. Punjab, 55 families 2. Haryana, 10 families 3. Delhi, 20 families 4. Uttar Pradesh, 15 families 5. Andhra Pradesh, 30 families 6. Orissa, 50 families 7. West Bengal, 10 families 8. Tamil Nadu, 10 families Tomorrow onwards we are planning to send money to Bihar and Jharkhand missionaries as Covid-19 relief work. They are about 10 pastors in Bihar and one in Jharkhand. In the first round we gave only 10 families per church. Whatever balance available we will distribute in the second round. This is our India state leaders’ plan. The needs are very much desperate. I want to help the believers and pastors who already died in Coronavirus – I need some help for medicine and food for the children. We must help the pastors and missionaries themselves, as they carry the weight responsibility and grief. Missionaries are the front line soldiers for Christ. Anyway, let us all pray and help the needy. God is rewarding your hard work. Pastor Pan*, Myanmar (Burma) Bro. Lan* and his wife suffering from Covid 19. Bro. Lan’s condition is not so good. Please pray. His wife is little better now. But bro. Lan is still sick and has too much cough. Their children are still safe. June 2nd: Pastor Peter*, Kashmir It was such a great day for us to worship together, but there was bad news that 2 of our team workers are Corona positive. Need more food items for members. Pastor Pan*, Myanmar (Burma) Hospitals are still closed due to CDM. The only private hospital that opened was closed at 5:00 pm today as many of the nurse and doctors are tested positive. Covid 19 cases are rising again here. Please continue to pray. June 1st: Pastor Suraj*, India Praise the Lord! Today we got the food ration packets and initiated the distribution to the COVID affected family and needy people. From tomorrow, there is more open time – till 2 pm – which will help us in execution. Thanks a lot for timely helps! Best Regards! May 28th: Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh Thank the Lord for His blessings. Thankful for the [$10,000 for food relief] and we believe the Lord is going to manage more as He wants us to serve the COVID-19 crisis, including destitute and devastated people by Yaas. We are continuing our thankful prayers for you to see His blessings through your loving care of Bangladesh. Darpan & Rina* Pastor Suraj*, India By God’s grace my sister and family became Covid negative now and are better. Here in Bihar, due to cyclone in Bengal, it’s been continually raining with thunderstorms and lightenings! Pastor Jairaj*, India Received from a disciple – “Papa we gave food to the needy in the state of Delhi and some was given in the church of Pastor Deepak*. At this time brother Deepak’s health is not good. He is corona positive in the hospital and his elder brother is in same condition. Thank you.” May 27th: Sarah*, Kashmir We are praying to help the transgender community as they are ignored. May 26th: Pastor Shalva*, Nepal Please continue to keep Nepal in your prayers as we are just getting slammed by COVID and very intense lockdowns. I lost a dear pastor and friend this past week and there are several very prominent Nepali pastors – about 25 pastors – who have also passed away in recent days. Please pray for believers in Nepal that their faith will not be shaken but that God would use them in a mighty way!! Nepal situation is getting further complicated; we are helping as much as we can as the resources are available with us. Please continue to pray for us. All our missionaries are so far safe, doing good. Thanking you so much. May 25th: Pastor Jagan*, India-Bhutan Border Thank you for your your prayers towards our partners. We are in the process of receiving the funds for relief work. Highly appreciate all your efforts to bless our partners and people of God in this nation. Thank you! Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh Thank you so much to keep your attention on Cyclone Yaas and praying for the people of that said area where our people are living and suffering. So, first, we need to pray for the life safety and hope. Sarah*, Kashmir Children are left to beg for food in villages because extended lockdowns have caused their parents (daily wage workers) to become jobless and unable to sustain life. Let’s continue to pray for those struggling globally due to the pandemic and serve our neighbours meaningfully if possible. May 23rd: Ashal*, Sri Lanka Greetings to you in Jesus’ name. We are under lockdown from the 21st of this month. No worship can be conducted. We are connecting with the faithful on phone for prayer. May 21st: Pastor Jagan*, India-Bhutan Border Highly appreciate your prayers and concern, as well as willingness to stretch forth the helping hands. We will pray for the hand of God to move among people to bless the needy people more. An oxygen concentrator will cost Rs.70000/- (USD $ 1000 approx.). Thanks a million for your prayers. Requesting you please continue to uphold us in your prayers. Thanking you! Pastor Shazil*, Pakistan Although there is quarantine going on right now and the schools are closed but the teachers at our school are totally depending on the stipends they get from us. Also, we need to pay some bills there. We will be thankful if you could help them. Sarah*, Kashmir Shalom. By the grace of God today we finished food distribution to 50 families; it was difficult to reach far flung places in lockdown, but anyhow, we completed our target… We specially distributed ration among laborers also. Thanks and regards, Sarah May 20th: Pastor Shalva*, Nepal Thanking you so much for your generosity; we could help the families running out of food in the church and neighbouring needy Hindu people, irrespective of religion, caste, or colour. The situation of the believers in the church in Nepal is getting very serious as the country has been indefinitely locked down due to the epidemic of Covid-19 in the last few days. If a man in the church is infected with corona, it is almost impossible to take them to the hospital because the hospital is charging a huge amount and there is no space for poor people. They have to depend on prayer. I have to go to pray for them. I have no option left except going and praying for them. I have come to know that throughout the country, many of the church’s believers and the communities’ poorest people and children are starving. With the support you sent we are helping as many as possible; somehow we can save them. There is nothing to eat in the houses of poor people and the family members, including the children, all are going through very difficult times. Nepal’s government is doing nothing – neither giving food nor providing free treatment in the hospital. Please kindly continue to pray for Nepali Christians and the poorest of poor people. Once again thanking you so much for all your love, concern and prayers. Pastor Peter*, Kashmir Dear prayer partners in Christ. We see the cyclone news of the masses desperate in South India. We watch the videos of missiles raining down between Israel and Palestine. We see the misery and death on a massive scale among our friends in Kashmir, as they wrestle with yet another strain of Covid-19. Regardless of the politics and world-sized details of each of these crises, what I believe breaks the heart of God is the devastating impact these are having on individuals; men, women, boys, girls, moms and dads, sons and daughters, friends — all whose lives are disrupted and forever changed. As we tally the impact of a global pandemic, we could talk about jobs lost, economic turmoil, even shortages of toilet paper, but nothing compares to the loss of a loved one from this terrible virus, or tragedies like the families are experiencing. This is our time, my brothers, my sisters! The world needs the salt and light we possess! We can be silent no more! Pray for our team that God will give us one more chance to proclaim His message to the unreached people. I thank you for your kind support of food items for 50 families. It was a difficult time for us to go and distribute the food items because there is a hard lockdown, as every day 50 to 60 people are dying here. As the song reminds us: ‘We shall overcome, we shall overcome’. God will bring again peace in the valley. Once again, thank you for your kind contribution during this hard time. Stay blessed.May 18th:
Jandi*, Nepal (Summarized from call with US staff)
Her church is having two hours of online prayer every day. Today 300 people joined. Nepali believers around the world from their church join. And believing friends around the country. They are splitting the leading of prayer by a representative from each province (seven total) each night. Jandi hosted. They are doing it every day this week and then after, it will be every Sunday night. They cannot help everyone everywhere, but they can pray.
Many pastors have died. One pastor died because he did not get oxygen. Four pastors died just this week that Shalva, her husband, knows. One was old and the rest were very young. This time so many young people are dying. India got affected so badly and the border is open with Nepal. Last year the border was blocked and people coming over the border from India were put in isolation. But this year, the government isn’t helping. Only testing.
The government is also not helping to take care of people in lockdown. Not for food, not for the vaccine, not for hospital stays. 20,000 rupees per night for a hospital stay (about $175). Not enough rooms or oxygen. Most people are staying on the floor or chair and not beds in the hospitals. The situation is like this at the border with India especially. It is really horrible there. Kathmandu does not seem as bad yet. But they know it is bad from friends and family around the city.
Pastor Suraj*, India
Sadly today I heard of two Christian workers’ death due to COVID. They were working in Champaran.
1. Udit* – 45 years – Hindu convert – had taken baptism and training in our church. Got a bicycle from HB. Wife and three children left behind.
2. Shazad*- Muslim convert – 52 years – wife and one son. Please pray for them.
Other problems in India –
1. Tsunami in coastal areas and a lot of damage and even deaths.
2. Black Fungus disease in post COVID patients – spreading here even in Bihar.
Some better news too – By God’s grace and due to lockdown the cases have started decreasing in India and in Bihar as well. Thanks a lot!
May 17th:
Pastor Jagan*, India-Bhutan Border
Warm greetings from the border of Bhutan!
As you might be reading in the newspapers or in media, India’s condition is day by day declining as the central government has totally failed to protect the people from this killer virus. As a result day by day things are getting worsened to the core.
However, despite of the pandemic threat God has kept us and all our missionaries safe and we are so secured by His grace. Due to the ongoing lockdown after lockdown, though, we wanted to start the new Academic Session of our seminary on the 1st week of May , 2021. We were not able to do so as we were keenly reading the pandemic situation. The seminary board has decided to start the New session once the ongoing lockdown is lifted. As of now we are planning to start the new session by the first week of June if the lockdown is lifted. If not it will be delayed accordingly.
We lost Pastor Sunil*, one of our Tribal pastors of our Church Outreach to COVID on 5th May. Please uphold bereaved family in your prayers.
Please do pray for the people in India especially in our region as we are fed up hearing the news of deaths due to lack of oxygen and other medicine deficits. So many of our believers lost their jobs and are in deep trouble for their daily bread, more than the first wave of this killer virus.
We are praying for a few oxygen concentrators along with cylinders to set up a temporary clinic for the needy believers, as well as all people to be benefitted with. As well as this, the big challenge of the hour is “daily bread”. Please pray for the immediate needs of all the believers to be met with.
At this need of the hour may I request if there is any possibility for COVID Relief so that we can help out the most needy people with some rations. Praying God to open up doors to bless the troubled.
Thank you!
Jagan

Pastor Suraj*, India
Thanks a lot for your concern and efforts. The pastor who was beaten in February is improving in his health. I had sent some support which was not enough. Now in lockdown he and family are struggling for daily needs. Another pastor, where we have done flood relief, is now Covid positive and is suffering badly. In Bihar lockdown continues till this month.
By God’s grace we are keeping well but now my own sister and husband got positive and are admitted in the hospital. Besides many other church believers and pastors in our fellowship. In one new comer of our church’s family, six people died in a week and so she is very much afraid. Some others are in suffering and in hospital for three – four weeks and totally broken. Thanks a lot for your prayers and concerns!
Pastor Ram*, Andaman Islands

Till 1 pm essential items shops such as groceries, vegetables, medical shops will opened, but all other shops/businesses are closed. Daily labourers such as mechanics, electricians, construction workers, etc. are hampered due to non-availability of materials. For the last three weeks churches are closed for assembling. No income for the pastors. Once again online/teleconference meetings started.
Kindly remember the following persons in your prayer and to others:
1. Sister Uma* – continuous fever, body pain & sleepless.
2. Sister Rose* – Vericos problem.
3. Sister Pari* – Covid patient at hospital.
4. Pastor Abhay* – Covid patient admitted in hospital.
Note:
Believers/pastors food needs.
Pastor Shalva*, Nepal
Jaimashi,
Nepal government has extended lockdown for another two weeks and international flight are suspended up to 31st May. Jandi* is getting better and she was seriously ill for two weeks. Thanking you so much for prayers.
May 10th:
Pastor Suraj*, India
Warm Greetings to you in Jesus’ glorious name!
Thanks a lot for your prayers and concerns! By God’s grace we are keeping well and safe during this pandemic and widespread disease. Please pray, as the COVID cases are rapidly increasing in India and in our state Bihar as well. It is an emergency and horrific situation here.
As per 10 May 2021, in the last 24 hours India reports 366,317 new cases with 3,747 deaths in one day only.
Our Bihar state reports altogether 113,945 active COVID cases and in just last 24 hours, 11,259 new cases added with 67 deaths. In our city, 1,646 new cases with 25 deaths in one day. The government has therefore already enforced total lockdown in Bihar for the last month. The roads which used to be crowded with people and cars are now empty. Many of our church members, known pastors, neighbours and friends are also positive and suffering, and even many died.
There is a shortage of beds in hospitals. Many patients are being denied admission. There is shortage of oxygen, medicine, kits, etc. Even many doctors and nurses are positive. Doctors and medical staffs are in great stress, and even those in administration as well. Till now only 2% of people in India got vaccinated due to the vast population. Most of the people cannot afford the hospital expenses and so thousands of people are dying due to lack of medical care. There are long queues at cremation centers. The dead bodies are even not getting proper funerals.
The recent super spread happened due to negligence of the government, religious gatherings of thousands of people at the Kumbh Mela, elections and campaigning, migration of laborers to their home states, illiteracy and unawareness of villagers, non-preparedness of administrations, and now due to crowds at vaccination centers.
The people are in great turmoil. Many people have lost their jobs and work. People are facing financial crisis and poverty. Many earlier middle-class families have come down to poor level. The number of poor people increased by 75 million during this pandemic. Everything is getting costlier. Beside the pandemic, the people are also facing hunger, economic crisis, debt, unemployment, depression and suicide. India is getting down from a developing country to a poor country. This is also due to improper economic distributions.
Everybody is suffering including church, pastors, village workers and believers. The city churches are somehow managing their virtual services through Zoom, YouTube, Facebook, etc., but the village churches are not able to meet as they do not have computers or even phones, and thus are struggling in their faith life.
In the last one year, many churches being conducted in rented halls were closed down as they could not afford the rent. In the last year, millions of children dropped out of school as they could not afford it or had no resources for online classes. Children are therefore losing interest in studies. Home conflicts have increased stress. Fear and nightmares are holding people.
On the basis of given information on India’s COVID situation, I am herewith giving you prayer points to pray and intercede –
1. Please pray that God will show His grace and mercy to stop this pandemic and COVID-19 disease totally and restore the life of people in India.
2. Pray and claim the great name of God Jehovah Rapha over India, that He may heal this land, wash away the sins of people, and restore the physical, mental and spiritual health of the people. Pray for those who are positive now and suffering in hospital or at home, for their healing and for the protection of their family members.
3. Pray that there be proper arrangements for funerals or cremation of the dead bodies, and pray for the bereaved and shocked family members. In some families only one or two children are left, as orphans. Please pray and claim the great name of God Jehovah Shalom over them, to receive God’s peace and presence.
4. Pray for the government, ministers and administrative leaders, that they may have fear of God and humble themselves to serve the people with God’s given wisdom and grace.
5. Pray for the frontline health workers – doctors, nurses, hospital staffs, etc., that God may keep them safe and strengthen to serve. Hundreds of doctors died due to COVID in India, and hundreds of nurses or staffs too. We also have some doctors and nurses in our church. Pray also for the police, as they are also exposed.
6. Please pray as most of the people are facing financial crisis, debt, job loss, unemployment, business loss, poverty, hunger, not able to pay rents, became homeless, compelled to migrate back to their village from megacities, etc. Pray and claim the great name of God Jehovah Jireh over the country India and its people to see abundant provisions and breakthrough.
7. Please pray for churches and believers in India to stand strong in their faith upon the Lord Jesus Christ, to experience God’s power and provisions, and to prepare themselves for His coming. Please pray as many pastors and village evangelists are suffering due to lockdown, no income, and also with COVID. I am regularly getting calls for help.
8. Please pray for children, as they are missing their schools and education. The village or poor children have no facilities for virtual studies. In this second wave, even children are becoming victims of COVID.
9. Please pray for our state, Bihar, which has been socio-economically very backward in India and needs a lot of prayers and support.
10. Give thanks to the Lord as many good things also happened during this pandemic, like the natural environment and seasons got better due to lockdown, better rains and water level getting higher, busy people spending more time with family, people are seeking for God, and many people are getting healed. I am regularly getting calls for prayers even from non-believers, proud leaders are humbled, etc.
As there are great needs here and a lot of phone calls are coming for help, we are planning to conduct some relief programs like distributions of food packets, dry food ration packets, sanitizing items, etc., once the lockdown is over and situations get a bit better. Today we distributed by ourselves food packets to 20 people, a small help.
Thanks a lot for prayers! May God keep you all safe and meet all your own needs!
Pastor Samuel*, India
As India continues to fight against the second wave of COVID-19, in all earnestness let us keep praying for our nation that we will soon overcome this pandemic. And let us continue doing all we can to help the sick and suffering in this crisis.

Pastor Shalva*, Nepal
“You may know through social media that Covid-19 cases are increasing everyday. Nepal government has locked down the country for two weeks and we don’t think that it will be lifted up very soon, I expect it will go for minimum six to eight weeks. Last year government provided some relief to people but this time government is not planning to provide any food packages, so I would like to request you to pray for 300 families who need some relief for their survival. They are in more risk of hunger than Covid-19. I have no way. Please kindly remember these people in your prayers. I didn’t request you last year because government had given some food package but this year nothing is coming up for poor people. This is my humble request. We may need to supply at least $35 equal food package to each family. Thanking you so much for all you have done for us.
Jandi* [Shalva’s wife] is still suffering, she has a headache, body pain, light fever about 100, but no coughing. We have not approached hospital because hospitals are packed with Covid-19 cases. If we go we will not get good treatment, rather we will be more affected so Jandi is having treatment at home. Please pray for Jandi’s recovery soon.”
Pastor Peter*, Kashmir
“Here I am writing some prayer points that this second wave of Corona has shaken whole India along with Kashmir. And our fellowship people are struggling with that need. If you can sanction food items, we will be most thankful to you.”

The Jammu and Kashmir Union territory on Saturday witnessed 47 deaths due to Covid pandemic while 3,832 fresh positive cases were also reported, taking the number of total active cases to 28359. The 47 deaths includes a retired doctor, who tested positive a few days ago. Today figure of mortality and fresh positive cases is highest ever since the outbreak of pandemic in J&K last year.

Now India, including Odisha, is facing the second wave of coronavirus. Yesterday more than 8000 people were with positive report of coronavirus; death rate is also increasing. Doctors report that in the month of May the second wave of coronavirus will be at its peak. Oxygen for ventilator patients are lacking. Please pray for healing of the people of India and the world, thank you.

URGENT PRAY REQUEST – India is in the midst of a devastating second COVID-19 wave, it’s worst ever health crisis, with so many people dying of infections daily. I urge everyone to earnestly pray for our nation and seek God’s intervention to save the country from the spreading pandemic. We need to pray for all those suffering, for the healthcare systems and professionals, essential workers, more vaccines, and especially for the government at the centre and the states as they are working towards the mitigation of this pandemic and saving as many precious lives as they can.
I’m also worried that if things don’t improve, the economic problems that occurred last year may repeat – migrant workers, loss of jobs, starvation, etc. Let us keep praying to the Lord to have mercy on our land as we fight back this second wave of Covid-19. As India battles the alarming second wave of the pandemic, I just want to remind that keep interceding for our country. God has not forsaken us. He will deliver us. Let our people not loose heart. We will get through this together!
Pastor Joshua*, India
Thank you for your prayers for Odisha and our nation India. From the month of April once again we are facing the problem of coronavirus. Government of Odisha has declared shutdown on weekends, so we are not able to gather for prayers. But at the same time government is vaccinating the people; I also got vaccinated. We are also praying for India and all the countries of the world.
Pastor Ram*, Andaman Islands

Dear prayer partners in Christ. As lockdown is increased in many places in Kashmir. New cases are coming day by day, I kindly request and pray for the need of food relief to our people. As we are thankful you gave timely help in the time of pain and sorrow.
Pastor Ram*, Andaman Islands
Dear beloveds, due to covid surge in India, as well in Islands, govt. brought the restrictions to stop all congregations from today. So, we can’t conduct the Sunday service in the churches. Kindly pray! Many pastors and believers died from the mainland due to covid and affected many.
April 23rd:
Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh
Greetings in His precious Jesus’ name and thanks to all for remembering Bangladesh for your everyday prayers as we are still safe, though it is spreading much. Yesterday, one of the renowned Christian professors of Dhaka University, died by attack of Covid-19, and also a Christian woman died by COVID-19 yesterday. So, it is a very terrible situation in cities, and side by side remote areas. So, a prayer is the main way to reach the Lord who can save us as the COVID-19 is roaring to attack every time.
April 22nd:
Pastor Samuel*, India
Due to the pandemic situation, all the work has been stopped and it is very difficult to get any work. A few of our church’s poor labourer believers have been struggling/waiting to get a job since a long time, but no one has offered any work. My entire church/family is worried thinking about the situation and how these people are going to survive without a job, food, medicine, and all others basic needs.
⠀
Last time a few people among them attended a relief program (distributed dry rations) organized by you and our partners. This program was organized to help families during the ongoing pandemic. 40 families to received dry food rations.⠀
⠀
My heart is broken for these people, desperate for food. Still there are a lot of people on our phone calling me because they need help, care & prayer, along with providing relief to those greatest affected by the lockdown. I consider this as a huge opportunity for the church to show Christ’s love in word and deed. Thank you for helping us be the hands and feet of Christ.
April 14th:
Pastor Peter*, Kashmir
Dear partners, I once again want to remind and bring to your notice that Covid phase 2nd has started and this phase is more dangerous and there is a great panic among the poor families in Kashmir. Government has been imposing many restrictions on the common people on the eve of COVID-19 second phase. Many poor people who work night time shifts – laborers, vendors, small fruit and vegetable sellers – are the first and worst victims of these restrictions. Most of the people even don’t have three times food to eat. As most of you, our respected prayer partners helped our Kashmiri people during COVID-19 phase 1 and many families were benefited out of that help, I therefore request and pray your good self to kindly help the poor and needy people as soon as possible. We hope and pray for the help of needy and poor on your part.
April 12th:
Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh
We are passing normal lockdown because the Coronavirus has spreading much and attacking very many, and some are dying. Bangladesh govt. has taken a very strong decision today that from 14th April to 21st April, there will be a hard lockdown like curfew. The whole Bangladesh will be lockdown and Bangladesh is going to face a big and very hard problem. A lot of people of Christian community have been attacked by the virus and are dying. Pray for Bangladesh. I don’t know what is going to happened in the future soon. Police and army will take care of the lockdown and the situation is very worse now, and the future…we don’t know. Please pray for Bangladesh.

Pray for the election in our country. There are many problems taking place with the Military Junta not accepting the outcome of the election. Pray that there is no problem, so that the Junta does not win for another five years. Pray for Aung San Suu Kyi’s leadership.
Pray for COVID-19 cases. Pray for protections over me and my wife and the children (our own children and our orphanage children). Pray that the virus does not touch our home. I just received news that two more people in my church have been taken to the hospital for COVID-19 quarantine. Now seven of my church members are in the hospital for quarantine. Some people are serious. All are in their 30s and 40s.
November 10th:

My friend Pastor Devesh died today because of COVID-19. His wife is still sick. He had three daughters. Please pray.
November 9th:
Pastor Suraj*, India
Pray for outcome of our elections in Bihar. Tomorrow we will find out the results and I will be praying and fasting. Pray as a regional festival, Chhath, to worship the Sun God, happens on November 20th.
The virus is spreading quickly because of elections and festivals. It is spreading quickly because politicians were gathering people to speak. No one was using any masks. Pray for the increasing number of cases of COVID-19. Medical help is a huge need for people, not only food.
Several pastors have gotten COVID-19. My friend Devesh is very sick and near death. His wife is sick too. He has three daughters. I was exposed to COVID-19 through him.
Crops have been washed away, and the cost of basic items has increased. December is coming, so we want to do Bible distributions of 400-500 Bibles. People are open to the Gospel in the Christmas month. Pray for all these things.
November 7th:
Priya*, India
Pray for my oldest son to finish this year of school. Pray for his future, as he wants to go abroad for his MBA. Pray for his health.
Pray for all the busy work going on. We need to be careful with COVID-19 spreading. Pray as I cannot avoid being touched by everyone in the communities I work. Pray for the women who have gotten COVID-19 and have died in my Gypsy and Tribal communities. My friend died a couple days ago.
November 6th:
Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh
In this time of changing seasons, we are seeing increase of many diseases, including COVID-19. People are concerned about the future. They need a vaccine. Our missionary Nirmola caught COVID-19, and so did everyone in her family. They were in the hospital for 28 days, and now they are COVID-19 free. They were not very sick, but they were in quarantine.
Tonight a night program is going on in Rajshahi. People come after their dinner to hear the word of God. The village leaders have invited the missionaries to come and share.
We have been emphasizing that COVID-19 is not a matter of joke. It can spread to the whole family. We are teaching them how to wash their hands. In all of the areas of ministry in the country, we are teaching hygiene lessons. Pray for this.
Six missionaries all try to go to slum areas to continue their work in stopping human trafficking. Other missionaries are also working with kids to encourage the children not to go away from their home during lockdown. The kids are missing out on guidance from their teachers with no school. So the missionaries are taking care of the children by gathering them and teaching them. They are sharing the Gospel. They are teaching the children and slum dwellers about COVID-19 and how to stay safe. Pray for this.
November 2nd:
Pastor Ram*, Andaman Islands
Pray as Christmas is nearing, that we can conduct children’s programs.

Thank you very much for all your prayers. Yesterday my dad was discharged from hospital. Though he is discharged he is not 100% fit, he is on medicine and needs to rest. So please continue to uphold him in your prayers. Thank you very much. This happened once about three months ago, but this time it was worse. He must not travel or speak too much and needs to rest a lot. Thanks for all your prayers and love.

Yesterday evening when I came, the ward doctor came for checkup round and they tested [my father’s] blood sugar levels – it was 370. And the pressure also was a bit high.
Tomorrow morning the cardiologist who checked him is visiting the ward. So I am going at that time to the hospital and will update you with the details. Thank you very much for your prayers.
Pastor Peter*, Kashmir
Dear prayer partners in Christ: tomorrow we are going to start full day Bible study for our team leaders. Keep in your prayers. May God bless.
October 1st:
Sadun*, Sri Lanka
My dad, Rev. Samadith* was admitted last night in the hospital. Thursday evening he was struggling to breathe – he was not at all well. So we took him to the nearby small clinic. The doctor took the ECG and asked us to take him immediately to another hospital in the capital. So I took him. He took an echo test and they asked us to immediately take him to another hospital again, where they admitted him at the cardiologist section, as his heart beat is below 20 BPM.
Now he is in the CCU 24-hour care. With this situation where we don’t know what to do, we are trusting God 100%. Very sad. PLEASE PRAY.
September 30th:
Pastor Sanjiv*, India
Dear Praying Friends, on behalf of our family, I would like to say a very special word of thanks to each of you that have been praying for our family through this season in our lives. God’s grace is the thing that we have needed the very most through this experience, and His grace has been poured out upon us in a way that we have never before experienced. Hebrews 4:16 encourages us to come boldly to the Throne of Grace, where we may find grace to help in our time of need. In Matthew 6:6, we read that God has a special reward for those who pray in secret, seen only by Him. My prayer is that God will pour out a rich blessing upon each person that has been praying for us. “…and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”
Many of you have been standing with us in prayer. This, I believe, is the kind of love that Jesus speaks of in John 13:35 “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” Please continue to remember our family in prayer as the Lord brings us to your mind. I know that we will also have many tears in the days to come, but I am even more confident that God’s grace will be with us too.
September 28th:
Priya*, India
Please pray for a good food distribution tomorrow in gypsy and tribal villages.
September 27th:

A fierce gunfight is underway between militants and security forces in Samboora area of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama District… As per the reports received, a joint team of police and the Army’s 50 RR and CRPF launched cordon and search operations in Samboora. As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the party, triggering off an encounter. Please pray.

Pator Thomas*, India
Praise God that my son is recovering from Coronavirus. He had been in the hospital for two weeks. Please pray for my family’s finances. Pray that we can continue our building work for a pastor training center. Pray also for a new laptop and phone for my ministry.
Pastor Peter*, Kashmir
The earth in Srinagar and its outskirts in central Kashmir shook again this noon, making people shocked and worried all across the valley. The earthquake felt at around noon today has again sent shock waves across Kashmir; people wonder why and how these tremors occur in and around Srinagar. Some people guess these jolts occurred by air blasts, and some are waiting to see the statements coming from the seismologists to confirm whether these are naturally occurring earthquakes or something else. Pertinently, people in fear left their homes and came out into the streets when fierce jolts were felt in Srinagar during late-night hours two days ago. Please pray.
September 24th:
Pastor Jairaj*, India
Pray for pastors in India. They are soldiers in Christ. They face problems from their own family, Hindu organizations, persecution from unbelievers, losing government benefits in education and bank loans, etc.
Pastor Joshua*, India
Praise God for people’s greater interest and acceptance of the Gospel. Pray as we baptize seven people next month. Pray as we plan to give 35 widows some gifts then too.
I thank God for keeping me in the villages. I was brought up in Bangalore, and I thank God for where I am. I praise God for what He is doing in Tribal villages. I want to help the youth. I want to develop them. I want to teach them to do housekeeping, tailoring, and different vocations. And through that, I want to preach the Gospel to them.
September 23rd:
Thang*, Myanmar (Burma)
Pray for safety. In Yangon and the rest of the country, they do not have enough facilities for COVID-19 patients. People aren’t wearing their masks. Church is still not allowed – no service in church. But to some extent, in terms of the Christian life, everything is online, so it is an advantage. People are praying more. People are asking what is the most important thing in life. The impact of food relief made a big impact for people. It made a lot of open doors. It gives a lot more opportunity.
Priya*, India
Pray as another woman died from attempting abortion in one of my ministry villages. She had two other children.
Pastor Peter*, Kashmir
The epicentre of the earthquake was Srinagar city, but all the valley is frightened. The reports are still awaited for any damage. So pray for Kashmir because there is no lockdown and slowly schools are going to open. Pray for Kashmiri people to feel secure.
September 20th:
Pastor Sanjiv*, India
Thanks a lot for praying as well as organizing others to pray for me. So happy to see such prayer warriors. Since I am in such a big family and surrounded by prayers of the saints, I am improving and doing well. Today is the seventh day of my home quarantine, and another week I have to be at home. Then again we need to go for a Covid test. So far my family is doing well, although a little worried. This is a nasty virus indeed; lot of body pain, headache, fever, no appetite, etc. I could not sleep 4/5 nights and was confused much. Now in the last two days I am feeling much better and praising God for that. Thanks again for your great love and care and support these days. May the Lord bless you.
September 18th:
Pastor Sanjiv*, India
Dear one, greetings and thanks for praying for me. I am slowly getting better, although feeling very weak and getting no smell or taste of food, etc. Prayer will surely help us to heal faster.
Thanks for your financial help in times of greatest need. This money had been used to bring smiles to some needy families who face a terrible time due to lockdown caused by the pandemic. May the Lord bless you all.
September 15th:
Pastor Sanjiv*, India
Dear one, here I have not been well for the last five days. Most nights I couldn’t sleep. No appetite, cold, cough, tiredness, headache and body pain. At last I gave a swab sample for Covid-19 test and today the result came – Covid-19 positive. The whole family is worried now as they too have to do tests. Please pray for me as well as my wife and children. Now I am in home quarantine and taking some medicines. Not feeling well either. Please cover us in your prayers.
September 14th:
Pastor Suraj*, India
Churches may open at the end of the month. We will be glad to worship together, but this will require more expense and work to keep people safe. Please pray. Also pray for our church roof, which just tin and is broken. Pray we can built a strong roof and that this one will not blow away. Pray as we need some more equipment and a PA system for our online streaming, and for the church as well because some of the machines have become old and broken down.
Pray for my son, who is doing online school now.
Pray for our church believers, that they may stand strong in their faith during this crisis of COVID-19, job loss, unemployment, etc.
Pray for our online viewers of our YouTube channel, that it may increase and we may be able to reach more people of Bihar and India with the Gospel. Pray for water baptism taking place this Friday, 18 September. Some of our online viewers are from Hindu higher caste, have believed in the Lord, and are going to take baptism, leaving idolatry and witchcraft. I have not met them physically but online only.
Pray for the flood relief needed in north Bihar. Thanks a lot!

Pray for us, as we are watched more closely. As husbands are not able to go to work, they are always there to watch their wives’ actions and to watch us as we go to do ministry. They call the police and they keep us from doing ministry with the women. Pray for the safety of the women and our pastors and missionaries.

What about the coronavirus pandemic in India? India created a global record on 30th August with the highest single-day rise of 78,761 new infections, and is already the world’s third-most infected nation. It has also reported more than 63,000 deaths. Please pray for our ongoing work for the poor and needy families of our community, and remember other practical issues in your personal prayer. Pray also for preparation and line-up for meetings in several states once the pandemic issue is over.
Pastor Joshua*, India
Please pray for me, as I’m going through hardship during these days in the family. Pray so that I can do God’s desire through my life and in ministry also. There are some young boys and girls in our church that should repent, believe in Jesus and accept Jesus Christ as their saviour. Church gatherings are banned during this pandemic, so please pray that the churches should be opened for worship.
Pastor Pan*, Myanmar
The Covid-19 positive cases are higher and higher these days in Myanmar. Please continue to pray for our safety. My family as well as all of our children are well by the grace of God, for which we are thankful.

With $3,000 we will be preparing about 100 two-week dry food ration packets per family of four or five people. This will be distributed among 100 flood-affected poor families in a river region. It can help altogether about 500 people. With more funds we could reach a couple of other communities too.

August 25th:
Pastor Shalva*, Nepal
Per family the cost is about $80-$100 to provide a family of four to seven people with nutritious food for 30-40 days, and clothing as well. Those people have lost everything – they have nothing. The government provides only a kind of plastic tent which they have to fix with bamboo. Thanking you so much for all your prayers and support.
August 22nd:
Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh
Day to day the flood situation is very bad, as you can see in the news. I think we need to pray more, expecting to see His miracles. The floods are taking people’s belongings, and it is taking a long time for them to move. The survivors are suffering much with the COVID-19 pandemic also. So, we need to keep patience for His blessings.

It gives me great joy to write this mail. We as a family in Christ seek according to the promise, “I will restore you to health and heal your wounds…” ~ Jeremiah 30:17
Our Lord Jesus Christ has granted us a good health, in this time of Covid-19. Our family that belongs to God doesn’t stay in the storm, but has shelter inside the ark; our tears will be no more. We will see peace, goodness and happiness in the coming days. I thank you for the relief you have provided for the poor and needy people, and pray that God shall bless you with abundant measure according to 2 Corinthians 9:8. God is able to make all grace abound in all things at all times…Our Lord never lets down the partner of the ministry.

Till now 16 districts of Bihar and nearly 7.5 million people are affected by the floods, which can last till September. I am getting regular phone calls from affected areas for help. So, we are earnestly praying for your efforts for Bihar. Thanks a lot for your prayers and concerns for us and Bihar.

[Regarding recent elections] We are not shocked. We prayed for God’s will to happen in the Parliament election. As we prayed for whom God wants to be in power, He has brought them. Now we are praying for the leader of the country to rule our nation in a peaceful and fair way. Up to this date we didn’t face any persecution in our area (because of the election), but in most of the Sinhalese areas there was persecution of Christians. Please continue to stand with us in the gap for the nation and its future. Thank you for your prayers, love and continued support.

As of today, 489 cases are positive and there are eight deaths so far. Due to this increase, the Andaman government imposed a complete lockdown on Saturday, from 1st August till 31st August. Again the churches were closed. We have started teleconference prayer from yesterday. Kindly pray for the Andaman Islands.

Since people’s economic status has been severely affected by this Covid-19 virus, most of the parents over here are thinking whether they should send a child for begging and collecting rubbish and waste on the roadside. Since the children of the gypsies began going to school with other community children, they have had some improvement in their life. At the same time, their parents are also learning some good habits from their children. I have advised them by way of counseling for their lives, especially in respect of education. They are all getting many benefits by way of going to school – particularly they are becoming very disciplined, and also they are becoming skilled. If they go for jobs in future, their poverty can be removed. It will cost $30 per child for them to go back to school after COVID-19. Without this help, they may not go to school again because of the cost. I do not want them to go back to their old life, since I find some good improvement in their life now.
July 29th:
Pastor Jagan*, Bhutan
Thank you for your continuous prayers. The government is doing a bit for monsoon relief, but due to COVID-19 the government is not having funds to reach out to those affected. We are trying our level best to reach out to the most needy, and so do the few local NGOs. Please pray for the situation to come under control. Thank you!

There is very sad news which I wanted to share in this moment. In an area where 7 of our missionaries are living, which had been thought safe because of the town’s embankment/dam, the dam has broken down a few minutes ago and speedy water has been entering the remote area where the people we serve are living. It will be very damaging for these people.
July 26th:
Pastor Jagan*, Bhutan
Just a quick update that the COVID-19 situation is getting worse for the first time, so that we are in total lockdown in our region till 3rd August. The monsoon is getting worse in the entire area of Assam to West Bengal to Bihar, Nepal and Bhutan. It’s pouring out and flooding in almost all the areas where millions of people have been shifted to safer places. There was no electricity as well for the last week. Finally yesterday it got resumed in our area.
Thank you so much for all your prayers. Requesting you to continuously pray for all our missionaries. Thank you!
July 25th:
Pastor Thomas*, India
We are very happy you again sent us help for the needy poorest people in Rajasthan state of India. Really we are very thankful to you, and now we are also glad to send you good news. We are working among the poorest people in the hill areas. All the people are farmers and labor workers. Due to Coronavirus and lockdown, our village people are suffering in many ways. For one, there is not enough food for them. With your $900 we served the needy and poorest 25 families. We went to every home and gave food packets. Those poorest people got good food packets – they are very happy and give thanks for the donor.
We have many people waiting for food, but we have no more funds. If God will again open the door for us, we will fully help them. Please kindly pray for our ministry and the poorest people.
July 24th:
Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh
Greetings – I believe that you all are well by His grace and we are also the same, though the pandemic is rapidly increasing more than previously and people are dying much more than before. So, people are worried to see the high percentage of death rate and everyday it has been rising, mainly in Dhaka’s red zones…
One missionary’s wife slipped in the rain and broke her right hand. She was admitted to the hospital, where our missionary is staying with her.
People in southwest Bangladesh are still trapped by the water from Cylcone Amphan, and it will be a big delay to remove the water from the south side of the district. Until the dry season comes, this water will not be moved. For this reason, we thought a lot about ways to help with rehabilitation, like repairing houses, making culverts, running food-for-work programs, etc. These projects are big, expensive or very costly. So, to stand beside the cyclone-devastated survivors with a loving concern in our areas/communities, we believe it would be good to provide food relief, as we did recently with our Covid-19 pandemic relief program.
The flash flood has already hit where two of our missionaries are living. Except one missionary’s house, all areas went under water and all the crops were damaged.
July 23rd:
Pastor Babul*, India
Please pray – one of our church members passed away today due to Coronavirus. His wife and a daughter are left behind. He was 40. He was also one of my good friends and very helpful in church activities.
July 21st:
Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh
Though it is the annual monsoon season, this year it has taken the severe form of flash flooding. The rains are devastating crops and cattle, and causing loss of life in a very bad way – mainly in the North and Northwest/Northeast sides of Bangladesh. The highland water from India, Nepal and China has been causing the flash floods.
July 20th:
Pastor Peter*, Kashmir
Here is a valley nestled high on the edge of the Himalayan mountain range. Here the Muslim call to prayer rings out from loudspeakers five times each day. Throughout the past decade, terror and hardship have gripped this Kashmir Valley. Kashmir is a highly populated valley surrounded by some of the world’s highest mountain ranges… In this Kashmir Valley people from a few different groups mightily and fairly call themselves Kashmiris. Here there are a few Hindu Pandits and Sikhs, and a handful of Christians who call the valley home, who speak Kashmiri as their mother tongue. There are also other Muslims who live in the Kashmir Valley – they are Gujjars, Balti, Pathan, Hindkhu, Ihasan, Miripuris, etc.
To help with food distribution, we have chosen one area first because it is most vulnerable and overlooked…we have selected areas where the people belong to scheduled (low) castes, scheduled tribes, etc. They are unreached groups in this district, and they are the most vulnerable and overlooked, which have not received any help so far.
July 19th:
Pastor Thang*, Myanmar
Thank you very much for all the love and great concern for our missionary partners and ministries. It has always been a great joy for us to be partnering under your umbrella with care and support…You all are in our thoughts and prayers especially during this time of crisis, as we know many people have been affected with Covid-19.
July 18th:
Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh
Greetings – I would like to share about the flash floods in Bangladesh. This water is coming from the highlands of India. It is hitting our human lives…Still today our people/areas are safe, but within the coming one or two days they may go under water. The flash flood is at the doorstep of our ministry areas…
Still today our areas are mainly affected by the lockdown and the lingering water from Cyclone Amphan. Certain villages are most affected. In these villages the people are locked down and jobless. Now people work and live surrounded by water. This water is not going away, but day by day its level has been increasing due to monsoon rains. This water has been devastating for human lives.
July 9th:
Sukeena*, Sri Lanka
Praise the Lord. Our country’s situation is getting better little by little, but it is still not normal. Still there are Covid-19 cases that have been identified in different places. Our government is focusing on the coming general election (for Parliament), so they have opened the public sector and have made a mess in the country.
Please continue to pray. We too are praying for the USA and for the world. Thank you very much for your continued support and love for our country.
July 7th:
Pastor Hamid*, Kashmir
I sincerely thank you for extending your sacrificial help to support us, and I am also indeed grateful to you for your prayers. Hopefully, we are going to distribute the dry food kits from 15th July 2020 onwards, to poor and vulnerable people here in Kashmir who are affected by COVID-19… May God bless you richly for your wonderful acts that you have performed for His name’s sake.
We also thank you and pray for the COVID-19 relief project, as we have some local Christian donors to help some families. We are going to distribute the food items. We will be able to come out of this critical condition by the solidarity of the people like you who stand for His works.
July 4th:
Priya*, India
Today is the last day for us to stay at home – the government is going to release the lockdown. But we will have a lot of restrictions when going out – it will be a half lockdown, I think. It’s really hard to meet each other in my Gypsy colony with the children. Thank you so much for your wonderful and powerful prayers for us.
Here in India we have time limits. During the lockdown one man and his son opened their shop after the time limit, so the police caught them and beat them the whole night. The two men died. So so sad news to us. No humanity. This is the big issue going on here in Tamil Nadu.
July 1st:
Pastor Shalva*, Nepal
“We are still praying for funds for the schooling of 165 children from the poorest of poor families, following their COVID-19 hardships.”
June 30th:
Pastor Suraj*, India
“There are still huge needs of food packet distributions among the poor and needy living in other localities and districts… Meanwhile some other problems are occurring here, like the flood situation in Bihar. Many people died from lightning strikes. Grasshopper attacks have destroyed harvests. There are earthquakes and price hikes by the government. So please pray. Once again, I thank each one of you for your hard work, love and prayers.”
June 26th:
Pastor Joshua*, India
“We are also praying for the USA to recover from this pandemic, and once again restore your country with a double portion of goodness and blessings of God.
As you know, during this lockdown in India many people below the poverty line, old people, and orphans are most affected. One orphanage home run by my friend, where 48 orphans were staying and doing their education, has lost their sponsors because the sponsor companies have faced huge losses in this pandemic.”
June 23rd:
Pastor Joshua*, India
Greetings to you in Jesus name. By God’s grace we were able to give relief materials to some Christian workers who were much affected because of lockdown. They are not able to come out of their respective houses. They could not get any relief or help from anybody, as they were living in villages.
These Christian worker family members are daily wage labourers. The people whom they are serving are mostly daily wage labourers, and some are farmers. They are staying 20-30 kilometres away from the main town. They almost lost all hope, but were continuously praying to God to meet their needs.
When I called them through phone, it was a miracle to them. They were very much happy. Some came on foot from their village to collect the relief materials. I also felt very sorry for them. But when returning to my place I gave them fare to go by local conveyance (auto rickshaw) three-wheeler passenger vehicle. Now they can manage at least 20-25 days with the materials that have been given to them. We are very much thankful to Harvest Bridge for helping us in this time of need. God bless you all.
Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh
Greetings and thanks that Lord still has kept us safe from the COVID-19 pandemic attack, though the virus has been roaming beside us as we are still in the red zone. There is very bad news that our missionary Nazia* and her elder son were attacked by the COVID-19 virus. They were tested by the health ministry of the government, and now they are locked down. They are sick with fever. Her husband and youngest son are living a little far away, but they are now quarantined and following the government advice. So, pray for the family.
June 16th:
Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh
“Greetings in His precious name and thank you very much for your love and care for Bangladesh. Yesterday we had a Holy Baptism program in a village where there are no Covid-19 cases in northern Bangladesh, and the Lord has blessed us with 59 new people who have received Jesus as their personal savior through water baptism after following Jesus and being discipled. Though the day had heavy rainfall, our team was able to rejoice in Him and accomplish the baptism program. So we are grateful to Jesus as He is using our teams to win more new souls for him in different villages of Bangladesh. So, pray for our teams and team members doing ministry. Pray for these new believers.”
June 15th:
Pastor Joshua*
“On June 13th, we as a team of pastors visited a village where we came to know that one of the Christian believer’s son was murdered (martyred), and with fear three families left their village.
Manas*, age 16 years, belongs to a local tribe. Years ago his family accepted Jesus Christ as their savior. From then onwards the village people and one village chief joined together and persecuted them. Last week they decided to kill all the three families, but by God’s grace the families escaped. But they caught Manas and took him to a nearby forest and killed him.
So we visited them and gave some financial help, and also distributed some essential food items for the three families. They are staying in a church and have taken shelter there. Please do pray for them. We prayed for them and encouraged them by the Word of God. We are thankful to you as we were able to meet their need by your generous help.”
June 10th:
Pastor Shazil*, Pakistan
One of our board members for the ministry team, Tanvir* is seriously ill for the last few weeks. He was diagnosed with pneumonia, but yesterday was taken into the emergency ward because he had difficulty to breathe. There were not good medical facilities in their city, so his family took him to a nearby big city. When they arrived there the hospitals were overcrowded, so they took him to another city. He got a bed in the Government hospital there and now is awaiting his COVID-19 test results. Please pray for him. Tanvir has been a great support to our ministry. He has participated in our disaster response programs, evangelical meetings, Bible distributions, local outreaches and other programs….God bless you.
Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh
Our missionary Ekant* has been sick. So, pray for Ekant and his team members as they accomplish the food distribution work instead of him. This is our view and hope. Today Ekant and missionary Joshua* went to the hospital for his checkup. But the physician told them to come tomorrow, after fasting for blood tests. Ekant is very weak, so remember him in your daily prayers.
June 9th:
Pastor Mang*, Myanmar (Burma)
I want to say thank you to you and the generous donors for proving food for the poor people here in Myanmar during this Covid-19 crisis. By the grace of God, the food distribution went very well and the recipients were so happy, since all the families are struggling to get food. In my village, 19 families received the food supply and they all say “Thank you to the donors”.
June 5th:
Pastor Thang*, Myanmar (Burma)
Please keep remembering us in prayer for the relief effort, as we distribute food to the needy people and families. Thank you very much for all the hard work and burden of heart that you all sacrifice for God and for the people here in Myanmar, who are in great need of a loving hand and care.
June 1st:
Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh
Most of the local missionaries already have been able to purchase the relief food, but due to the seasonal climate and rainfall, distribution could not yet occur in two places. But we are believing distribution will be possible tomorrow, for a lot of places if God wants. So, pray for the missionaries.
You would wonder to hear that by the blessings of God, very soon there will be a lot of new ministry locations, and there will be a Holy Baptism program. For this reason our missionaries are passing a very hard time. But everyone is ready to accomplish His commandments, as He called us. So, please pray for them and hope for this.
May 31st:
Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh
Our missionary Ekant* is sick. His wrists are in pain and he also has chronic dysentery. So please pray.
May 29th:
Pastor Hamid*, Kashmir
I sincerely thank you for extending your sacrificial help to support us, and I am also indeed grateful to you for your prayers. Hopefully we are going to distribute the dry food kits from 1st June and onwards, to poor and vulnerable peoples here in Kashmir who are affected by COVID-19.
May 28th:
Pastor Ram*, Andaman Islands
In spite of no cases of COVID-19, still restrictions for opening the churches continue and are extended up to 14th June. The situation in India is worsening day by day, like the USA. We are praying for the breaking of this pandemic. Thank you so much for your prayers and support. May the Lord bless you in a special way.
A personal prayer request: Pray for our church – it doesn’t have a toilet facility or a compound wall. Due to this, cattle come and destroy plants and the church premises. The second need is to pray for a car for me, since it is raining more here and we aren’t able to go with family for ministry in a two wheeler. It is my long pending prayer.
Pastor Joshua*, India
Greetings to you in Jesus’ name. Hope you are all doing well in the Lord during this Covid-19 pandemic time. We are also praying for you all. May the good God hear our prayers and heal the land soon. We are very much encouraged by your concern and financial support during this Covid-19 lockdown period. May God bless you all abundantly.
May 27th:
Pastor Shalva*, Nepal
“The politics of Nepal has been stepping ahead with criminal activities. The cabinet and ministers are for protecting criminals and suppressing the truth and justice. The victims have almost lost hope to receive protection and justice from the government. It is a great evidence of forecasting what is coming in the future and what we must expect from the Nepal government. I have lost my hope in this Government of Nepal, but I have a great hope in my Lord and Savior Almighty God, who was, who is, and who is going to come.”
May 26th:
Pastor Shalva*, Nepal
“The District Police Headquarters arrested a pastor with the intention to persecute him because he was a Christian, though the charge was something else. First, the police violated the law by arresting him without presenting an arrest note. Second, the police made fake arrests on the 16th day of the pastor’s custody, charging with ‘religious offense’ and with no arrest note. Third, the police created another case in Dolpa on the same charge and transferred the pastor overnight, despite the lockdown situation.
We hoped that at the Supreme Court we would be given justice, but prejudice in the legal system due to Nepal’s Anti-Conversion Law has been implemented, even though there is no proof that was claimed by the police or attorney that the pastor had committed this crime.
The verdict comes against the pastor and rejecting the writ for his release. From this unjust move terrible precedence is established, not only to this pastor but against all Christians. The judicial procedure today has overruled all facts and legal/constitutional provisions and violated the freedom of religion or belief. So all Nepalese Christians need to stay watchful, since all religious activities even inside the church building will be brought under criminal offenses! I am compelled to say that today is the darkest day to a religious minority in the so-called secular democratic country of Nepal. We lost the equality, justice and peace as a religious minority. We lost citizen rights!”
May 21st:
Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh
Thank you for your prayers. Our missionaries are safe but the community damage is very big, though the storm (Cyclone Amphan) already stopped there. It is raining and the missionaries are thinking that the mud houses will be broken down by tomorrow morning if the rain continues. This devastation is big.
May 20th:
Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh
Greetings in Jesus’ name. Super Cyclone Amphan is going through India. The cyclone has hit our south side of Bangladesh, mainly Satkhira, Mongla, Borguna, Patuakhali, Monpura, Cox’s Bazar, and other districts of South Bangladesh.
Our missionaries are living among the coastal areas. I have been on phone calls from our missionaries and coworkers. Before 8:00 pm there was a heavy storm/wind with 120 km/h (75 mph) winds blowing. As a result, some embankments were broken down and overflowed the land, damaging the ripe crops and breaking trees and branches down. In the TV we saw some houses are upside down with siding and bamboo materials flying away. Our government gave the announcement two days before for people to come ashore and stay at the flood shelter, and a lot of people came to cyclone shelters.
So the cyclone already has started her demolishing work and has been continuing. In this moment I could not share more, but we are praying for human safety first, and safety for their cattle. So we have to pray for the coastal people and for no lives to be demolished. We need to pray for their safe lives please.
Pastor Pan*, Myanmar
This 2nd relief program for Covid-19 will go to another village. 10 families will receive help from us in that village. Thank you so much for the generous donors and their love toward our people here in Myanmar. We continue to pray that the Lord will provide more funds to help more people, as the need is great.
May 19th:
Pastor Joshua*, India
Greetings to you in Jesus’ name. By God’s grace and by your valuable support we were able to support 16 very poor pastors with rice, dal, onions, potatoes, cooking oil, salt, milk powder, tea powder, bathing soap, and hand soap for the next several weeks. Also we are planning to provide one day’s care (two meals) for at least 50 migrants if God is willing. Please pray. Once again I am extremely thanking you for your concern and for the extension of support that you have shown. We praise God and bless you all. Yours in Christ Jesus.
May 18th:
Pastor Sanjiv*
The lockdown has been brutal on India’s poor section of society, especially on the daily wage earners who go to work in other cities/states far away from their villages and families. Thousands have rushed back, hiding in vegetable trucks, walking miles – babies in arms, bundles of belongings on heads, dehydrated, desperate and literally dying to leave the working place.
The impact is particularly harsh on a vast majority of people – the landless, small and marginal farmers, urban migrant workers, petty shopkeepers, barbers, tailors, traders, etc. constituting about 93% of the total work force of India engaged in the informal economy. Apart from loss of income, they would surely have run out of savings by the time the lockdown is lifted. There is a rise in unemployment by 50-60% in all the sectors, and hunger in the country because of the low level of production. People have already become frustrated and anxious as they are forced to stay inside their houses, and now the hunger and the impatience will lead them towards doing unethical things and crime.
We are doing what we can to provide relief for poor Christian families affected by the lockdown. Last week we tried to bring smiles to 39 families, although many others are requesting help too. These are families from our churches. While they received help from us, each of them joined in prayer & thanksgiving and prayed for those of God’s people who stood with God’s love and extended their hand practically to provide for them. Thank you very much for understanding the need at this hour of these poor and needy families. May the Lord bless your good work, your life and your belongings.
May 15th:
Sukeena*, Sri Lanka
My mother is sick. Please pray. My husband has lost his job and my family is going through a difficult situation. My parents too. Pray for my church pastor and the believers, for their need for food. Pray for my country’s president. Pray as Christians are humiliated in my area, and that people would repent and accept Jesus.
May 14th:
Pastor Pan*, Myanmar
“Bro. Lwin [see May 9th entry] has given some money to the lawyer as a down payment of the legal fee yesterday. But by the grace of God, I am pleased to inform you that Bro. Lwin’s case was ceased. That means by today, the court decided that Lwin hasn’t broken the law by having a prayer meeting at their house, since they all live together as one family from long before. All the money that he has given to the lawyer was returned to him. We thank God for answering our prayers for Bro. Lwin and his family, by protecting them not to face any persecution in the court.”
May 12th:
Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh
We would like to share that this week is a very busy week for us in Bangladesh. By your support the COVID-19 relief program in Bangladesh has been started. The distribution program is starting in Rajshahi, and it will continue to this upcoming Sunday at Satkhira and Dinajpur. So, please pray for our teams to accomplish the program as we planned.
May 9th:
Pastor Pan*, Myanmar
I am very sad to inform you that Brother Lwin* has been facing persecution because of his faith. During this lockdown in Myanmar, the government declared that more than five people being together has been prohibited and the ones who break the law have been arrested for 3 months. During this time, Brother Lwin and his family of seven members have had a family prayer meeting in his house. The Muslim neighbors hate this missionary family because of their faith, and have watched them for a couple of years now. Now he is accused of breaking the law. Actually, this is not breaking the law. But since he lives and serves among the Muslim community, they have taken this chance to put him in court.
He and his family members are at a danger point. They need our prayers and help.
Prayer points for him: Safety for his family and continued opportunity for them to serve among this community. Pray God will give him wisdom as he faces this persecution, and that God will provide the needed money to hire a lawyer who can protect them from the evil doers. Pray also for his wife and children, as they are full of fear.
Thank you for joining him in your prayers.
May 8th:
Pastor Suraj*, India
Food distribution is still the number one priority, as poor people, daily labourers, and migrants have no money to buy food items. Many people have lost their jobs, and now with no work, they have finished their small savings in the last seven weeks. Not all shops or factories are opened. Churches are not opened, so pastors of small churches are greatly suffering. Maid servants, washermen, cobblers, carpenters, rickshaw pullers, cooks, sweepers, daily wage workers, construction labourers, slum dwellers and many others have no work and are greatly suffering.
May 6th:
Shalva*, Nepal
Thanking you for all your prayers and support. Please be sure that we are regularly and continuously praying for you all.
Darpan*, Bangladesh
Within this time the government is not strict about COVID-19 and is slow to action, while Ramadan religious festivals are maintained. So, where and when COVID-19 will be stopped, no one can imagine. On the other hand, the government has kept all transportation like buses and trains stopped, and they extended the lockdown up to 16th May. So, we need your prayers.
Tomorrow we will begin food distribution to 324 families who are most severely affected, living hand to mouth.
May 5th:
Darpan*, Bangladesh
Please pray for us, those who are living in and around Dhaka, because the COVID-19 virus is spreading much in a very bad way and attacking people. We are dying more than in other countries. So, we need to pray for all people.
May 2nd:
Sanjiv*, India
Lockdown is extended till 21 May. The situation has turned to worse. I don’t know how many will die due to Covid-19 infection, but many more will die due to hunger and malnutrition.
April 29th:
Jandi*, Nepal
We are doing well here in Nepal. We are praying for the USA and all other countries to get healing from coronavirus. Till now 57 persons got infection by coronavirus in Nepal, and 16 got healing and went back home. Others are under treatment in hospital. Lockdown is extended to May 7, and travel is not allowed till May 14.
April 27th:
Rina*, Bangladesh
In such a mechanical way, the world goes so fast and people are busy with their own purposes, not prioritizing His word. In such a situation we are now facing the COVID-19 pandemic, and due to its action the world has become stopped and locked down. The coronavirus is affecting human lives, and everyday people are dying by this pandemic attack. So it reminds me that in all of my circumstances there is a God who has the control, who gives our lives and can take our lives.
But I see my people who are facing this cruel moment. They have become jobless because there is no work for the day laborers. I feel in my heart that as His daughter, I need to stand beside the new believers and community people who are living in the slum areas and are severe victims. As much as I could, I tried to stand beside them with a very small amount of rice, pulses, salt, and some potatoes. This is insufficient to meet their needs. But as a God-fearing daughter I try to stand beside them, with a hope and belief that the Lord will send us commodities and assistance needed to face the problems. I welcome you to please come forward and stand beside the COVID-19 victims.
April 25th:
Pastor Vinod*, India
I wanted to tell you that because of this lockdown…and problems in India, my family and I are struggling a lot. Because there is no income earning, we are suffering. We are not able to pay the house rent, food expenses and all.
April 24th:
Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh
Within this circumstance the COVID-19 virus is attacking all the countries, but very especially in Bangladesh it has been spreading much, attacking human lives very aggressively, and destroying lives every day in this congested and dense country. But within this situation, I including my wife are consoling and awakening our believers, house churches, and community people by the word of God and giving hope.
Coronavirus is a pandemic, harming the daily lives and destroying lives, but we are praying with patience as He is our miracle-working Jesus. We are keeping touch everyday through prayers – only prayers can change the whole situation.
People have been suffering unspeakable poverty due to the lockdown. They cannot sell their day labor to earn money, as the income source is totally stopped. They want to see hope, and not to be hopeless at this terrible attack. After the dark there will be a good sunrise.
April 22nd:
Sanjiv*, India
India declared a three-week nation-wide lockdown (people need to forget what it means to go out) til mid-April in the initial phase, which has subsequently been extended till May 3rd for achieving satisfactory containment of the virus’s spread. Thus 1.38 billion people were decreed to stay at home to break the chain of transmission. This was done without properly analysing the intricacies and impact of this massive lockdown by the government, which is presenting a severe challenge to working people, precarious labourers, daily wage labourers, beggars, nomads, the disabled and homeless in carrying out their daily livelihood for survival. In India, 92% of jobs are informal in the sense that they exclude any form of protection, contract, or guarantee of continuity. Now the already uncertain future of these labourers is in complete darkness. They have hardly any idea how they will feed their families in the coming months or what kind of work they will be getting.
The lockdown has caused a devastating impact on most of those Christian families who live below the poverty line. Many Christians in India come from the socially marginalized Dalit and Tribal communities. The Dalits are from the lowest rungs of the Hindu caste system, and the Tribals are the country’s indigenous communities, mostly located in India’s forests and undeveloped areas. Many of them are construction workers, street vendors, work in restaurants, shops, houses etc., and have lost their jobs.
Some churches and Christian individuals across the country have stepped up their efforts to mitigate the poor’s sufferings, to fulfill the Christian obligation of charity and try to reach out to the poor in the best and prudent ways possible.
April 20th:
Pastor Suraj*, India
From today some relaxation in the lockdown started for some necessary things. Government offices reopened with half staff. From 3rd May, more relaxation may come if the situation improves. But schools, churches, hotels and restaurants remain closed.
Meanwhile, please also pray as my computer CPU has broken down or stopped working. It is 12 years old. I consulted a mechanic online – he said he will try to repair after the lockdown opens, but it is old and parts are not available. I was uploading our sermons through this only. Besides this, I need some other equipment for better online ministry.
April 19th:
Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh
We are safe, and still He has been using us for His glory. There is good news that our missionary Tanzi’s* wife, Rifah*, became healed though she had felt some weakness. But we believe that she is now safe from the danger, as we are afraid she had Corona.
April 17th:
Pastor Jagan*, Bhutan
I am requesting you to pray for our missionaries, because the country is locked down officially for three more months till the week of July 1st. I am praying for you and the safety of all the HB partners in the midst of the COVID-19 threat. Thank you!
April 15th:
Pastor Pan*, Myanmar (Burma)
Greetings in Jesus’ name! As for me, my family and our orphanage children, we are keeping well by the grace of God. There was the first COVID-19 confirmed case in our town this morning, not far from our home. Please continue to pray for our safety and God’s provision for our daily living. We believe that God is still on His throne watching over us.
Pastor Shalva*, Nepal
As I was talking to our missionaries about the situation, they told me that somehow people are getting something from the government to survive at least for some days, but their biggest problem is to help the people who come to their house church with sending their children to school after the lockdown opens. They are praying for getting help from us to send children to school. They are seeking startup expenses from us – $30 per child for a year of supplies, up to Class Eight. After Class Eight it would be $50 per child per year. It is a one-time school startup expense which includes: 1. Two pairs of school uniforms, 2. One pair school shoes, 3. Socks, stockings, underclothes, 4. School bag, 5. One set of note books, and 6. Writing tools. Please pray for all these things. Thanking you so much for all your prayers, support and help.
April 14th:
Pastor Ram*, Andaman Islands
The lockdown was extended up to 3rd May, but starting April 20th they will announce some restrictions to be lifted. As of today, only one person is in the hospital here with Corona. So, there are chances of getting relief. Our missionaries all are fine. Through phone and WhatsApp, they are contacting the believers and known unbelievers with daily messages from God’s Word and Bible study. Also, in our church, we set apart the timings of morning 5-6, afternoon 12-12.30 and evening 8-9 for praising, praying and Bible study. In this we told the believers to pray for the Islands, for India, for the EU, especially for the USA.
Pastor Jairaj*, India
Our heart is full of sorrows and troubles. In this situation, two deaths happened in our church – one old man of 80 years and another young man of 40 years. They did not undergo Corona treatment. They stayed at home and died. [We believe] they had COVID-19, but they didn’t report to the government. They were sick for two weeks only. The young man had a wife who is a young widow now, having two boys. All are not having any job. They are living in a rented house.
April 9th:
Pastor Jagan*, Bhutan
Now Bhutan’s government is also struggling with finances, because thousands of people who are in quarantine have to be fed every day and COVID-19 tests cost them a lot. So the government has appealed to the general public to donate. Many of our mission partners are struggling with finances, as physical church gathering is not taking place for the last 3 weeks. Please pray for God’s hand of miraculous provision for our mission partners. Thank you!
Pastor Thang*, Myanmar
Yes, it is a very hard and difficult time for our partners indeed. They were able to visit and celebrate Easter with very few members, meaning two or three only. From tomorrow til 20th April, our government announced a lockdown. It will be more difficult to celebrate Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Please kindly remember us in your prayer for the physical needs of our missionary partners and their members. With many thanks.

God Almighty will work beyond our imagination. Corona hasn’t spread yet in Nepal; only six people who traveled from other countries have brought it here. One is healed and others are in normal condition. Lockdown has really controlled the Corona. Because of the lockdown it didn’t spread, otherwise it could swipe away Kathmandu, because our settlement is unorganized and the hospitals have no capacity to treat more than 2,000 people. By the Grace of Almighty God we are somehow safe.

Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh:
Greetings and thanks for your prayers. Bangladesh is overcoming the very critical moment. The coronavirus has been spreading, and it has reached to every corner of the remote places. The people are facing a crucial time, not getting the chances for treatment. In Bangladesh everything has collapsed, including internet-based connection. Though the government is saying many things, in reality it is different. So without prayers, there is no way to overcome the situation.

“We are persecuted by the orthodox [Hindu] religious groups; the law of our country is totally against Christianity. We do not have any support from the government or political parties. Our churches are not registered in the government as religious institutions. We have no burial ground and no recognition as a religious group by local people and government. There are many anti-Christian activities going on…
…On the other side, many new people are coming to Christ and becoming members of the local church. In spite of a critical situation, the Kingdom activities are going on and God is doing marvelous things in our country. We are seeing so many exciting things in our churches and organizations. We are experiencing God’s love, mercy and blessings in our day to day life.
So now, even though the world is upset and being threatened because of this outbreak, God’s people are still very excited and working diligently. Thank you for your prayer and love to us. Please continue to pray that we can fulfill all our goals of this year. There are many things to be done in the future, and with our planned programs we are deciding what to do. Please pray with us and we will be praying for you too. God bless you and protect you at this moment.”
Pastor Thang*, Myanmar
“Thank you for all your prayer and support – it has been a great blessing and encouragement for us to know that you have always been supportive. Our government has announced more positive COVID-19 cases, so people are keeping their restaurants, shops and cafes closed. I believe it will be more difficult for our people to live since they are dependent on their daily work. Some of them are working in the garment industry, and some are in building construction. Most of the work has been closed down.
We are not allowed to have guests from other places within Myanmar or from abroad, including our citizens who just returned. We are strongly restricted up to 30th April. Please kindly remember us in your prayer.”
Pastor Stephen*, India
“Here life is getting really horrible due to our 21-day lockdown. In such a huge country with an enormous population, the supply chain is totally broken due to the lockdown. Many families of believers are confused whether they will die due to hunger, if not corona virus. Masks and hand sanitizer are not available in the market; for groceries, vegetables and such things, prices have gone very high. I am not afraid, but watching the situation here, there is so much misinformation. Religious leaders are saying that cow urine is best hand sanitizer, and even that it will cure COVID-19. Many temples are saying the same.”
Pastor Darpan*, Bangladesh
“We have been staying at home as we are passing through a very crucial moment. We have been praying and fasting for the world, that the Lord would have mercy and bring many to saving faith. We are kneeling down, seeking His grace and praying for this disease to be removed.
Our government has extended the quarantine, and the Army is maintaining security all over the country. People are fully staying at home, and all kinds of communication are stopped. The government is distributing food in Dhaka to those who are very poor, but many people in the rural areas are suffering with lack of food because they cannot go for their daily labor. Many have already become victims of debt with high interest rates as they face this crisis.
The virus is now spreading in villages, and also in slum areas of cities and towns. The government has closed all religious activities – they must run at home instead of at the mosque, church or temple.
So, please remember Bangladesh in your prayers, that we would not face a famine because the corona virus has destabilized the country. Day to day, it becomes more serious. Please pray for Bangladesh to overcome the situation by His mercies. We need you at this crucial moment to stand beside us.”
